There is a hole in my vintage Florsheims. And I'm not happy about it. Can anyone recommend a good shoe repair shop? Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't...

I am looking for a seamstress/alterations person that can hem an expensive pair of jeans.
I also need a good shoe repair person that can maybe fix a pair of heals...

There used to be a shoe guy by the old seven eleven who was really good. The seamstress we used for Ellie's prom and Abby's wedding dress was really good. Arina's Alterations-Tailor Shop 9630 Gravois Rd St Louis, MO 63123(314) 631-4947
Looking for a reasonably priced shoe repair place in west St. Louis county. Anyone have recommendations?

I go to a little place in Valley Park. I believe it is called Like New Shoe repair. I've always had good service. Located at the corner of Vance and She Repair.

A great place is Clarkson Shoe Repair near Manchester and Clarkson. As a bonus, it is very near Donut Palace!
Tim Z. replied:
I have had shoes repaired at Clarkson Shoe Repair, and have had donuts from Donut Palace. The shoe repair was good, but the guys was a little quirky! The donuts are always good!

Definitely--the one near the Sports Authority in the Manchester Meadows (?) shopping center where the Wal-Mart used to be. It's where Office Max still is and Home Depot. The Cobbler shop or something like that. The men who own it and work there are very nice and can fix luggage as well as shoes. Reasonable prices. Always done well.

Mike likes Clarkson Shoe Repair and has used them several times...donuts next door are always good...
Can any St. Louis area friends recommend a good shoe repair place? I had a great guy on The Hill I went to for years, but unfortunately he passed away and the business...
