Do not rip off the gutters, it's not necessary. Shovel or roof rake 4-6 ft above the gutters and this will stop the leaks as well as using calcium chloride to free up the ice dam. If you need assistance I can so this for you as I have done 7 just this weekend. Tom 203-241-6828

We used Cummings Construction. Super super nice guy. On time, did a great job and cleaned up. Didn't try and talk me into more than I needed and in fact problem solved a less costly fix for me. He was a referral from a friend and we didn't get other quotes so I can't speak to price.
