I've been going to Suffield Medical since I was 7. Dr. A is very good at what he does. However, the office is still pretty antiquated and they don't use computers to store medical records. It is still all paper files.

East Granby Family Practice was okay, to a degree. I signed up for a primary card physician and never got to meet her. She left the practice and unlike other practives where I had been a patient, I was never notified. They do get you in within a reasonable time, but I never knew who I was going to see. My mother has seen Josephine Diaz, the Nurse Practitioner in Suffield, and we were both satisfied with the experience. Dr. Anastasio, if he's still at that office, is also very good. Since I moved to Massachusetts, I've been seeing doctors at the various Baystate Medical practices, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Dr. Edward Ewald of East Granby Family Practice has been our family's GP for over thirty years. I'm pretty sure you'll often hear him recommended as you ask around town. He listens, you never feel rushed, and is a terrific diagnostician!

I see Dr Shannon Beausoleil in West Hartford. I started seeing her when she was in Enfield. I have never had to wait to see her, and I always see her (not a PA). She's about our age.... pm me with any specific questions. I like her a lot, she is no nonsense, and very reasonable if you want to discuss options.

My husband sees Dr Beausoleil (I left her practice just because of the distance... i also work in Suffield, so it is easier to have everything close) and I go to Dr Diaz. I will agree that Dr. Beausoleil gives one-on-one care and takes all the time in the world to answer questions while you are there, she does not have a PA to fill-in you will always see her. Her hours are limited compared to Dr Diaz. I have had great experiences at Suffield Medical Assoc (Dr. Diaz) - they have also taken the time to answer questions and not rush me - and I like the flexible hours. Both are great IMO... it comes down to logistics.
