Go to second cycle on MLK and get taught how to do it yourself. They are great and supply all the tools and supplies you need plussss you will be able to keep your bike in great shape with your own hands!

I came here to say 2 nd Cycle is really cool! I agree with other posters and say give them a try.

If one by the mall you mean Performance Bike? They are probably going to be one of the cheaper ones. 2 nd Cycle is a great community organization. They have a repair shop and also teach bike maintenance classes. [http://www.2 ndcycle.org/](http://www.2 ndcycle.org/) I've had good experiences with Tacoma Bike on 6 th Ave, [https://www.tacomabike.com/](https://www.tacomabike.com/). Old Town Bike is also good, but has gotten really pricey.
Friend of mine is looking for a good bike shop in or near the Queen Anne area of Seattle. He is not currently an active cyclist but wants to start doing some group road...

I bought my Raliegh from Recycled Cycles on Boat Street. I'm not super familiar with the area but its kinda close to Queen Anne. Pretty solid solid mechanics. Decent bike selection.

Unfortunately I don't know the shops in Queen Anne, but I really like Montlake Bike Shop and Recycled Cycles. The former has newer stuff and the latter classic old stuff. Either one is maybe 15 min from Queen Anne via car and both are staffed by good folks.

Recycled Cycles people are the greatest. In my recent MS150 ride they were/are the most helpful and caring of all the supporting shops. Make the drive. It's 10 minutes from your home: http://www.recycledcycles.com/

Fremont isn't that far away. Zac Daab, the owner of Cascade Bicycle Studio, is a superb guy and has a range of prices from commuters to high-end road.

Greg's greenlake The Seattle shops don't have the "at home feel" that Tacoma bike does but they'll take care of him

Alpine Hut on 15 th near gilman and whole foods. REI. There is also a recycled cycles in Fremont, on stone way across from evo. And big tree for mountain bikes. And the aforementioned Velo (ex cap hill Velo) on 6 th and roughly Lenora (the Via 6 building).
I need a good bike shop recommendation so I can get my daughter's bicycle tuned up- i'm looking for effective and affordable. Thanks in advance for any help!

I use Cycle Center in Stamford, but that's probably not an option
anyone have any bike repair skills or knowledge? I need a new rear wheel on my mountain bike... hmm not sure where to start. Don't wanna get reamed at the bike shop.

I was going to say my good neighbor at Garage Plus runs his own bike shop and could have fixed it for cheap
