Had the same problem a few years ago. Always like to offer work to local companies, but they didn't want to know. When I did eventually pin someone down and get them to quote, they never bothered to get back to us. Ended up with a firm from Saffron Walden called Flat and Valley Roofing. They are mostly a specialist flat roof company but they agreed to quote to repair our pitched roof, and did a great job.
