I spent $165.00 and bought the septic protector. It's a filter you attach to the clothes washer. You will be amazed the amount of lint and hair that gets into the septic tank from the washer. Also, there is a trade magazine for the septic industry called Pumper. You can Google. If installed and treated correctly, a septic field should never need to be replaced. http://www.septicprotector.com
