I am looking for a good allergist - anyone out there with any recommendations? Needing one in Tucson - either side of town.

Amy Wagelie Steffen of Allergy Associates 2960N Country Club
Stephanie K. replied:
Avoid back pricking to test. Best choice is to find a natural path with a MD. Regular MD docs don't have a clue. Pro Tech is a reliable lab for testing.

Tom goes to Dr Friedman. He is at Swan and Pima .
Cristi S. replied:
Alvernon Allergy Associates has an office in Rita Ranch. Brennan saw Dr Makol there, and I was pleased.
Can any peeps in Tucson recommend a good allergist? Not a naturalist, but the kind that pokes you with all of the needles of tiny poisons to figure it out?
Jessica K. replied:
Dr. Martin Bartels at Southern Arizona Allergy. The man is a wizard. A no b.s. wizard.
Kimberly A. replied:
I had a full panel of allergens tests done a few years ago.. It was done by blood sample though.. 24 vials of it in fact. Didn't know they would take that much at once. I got a full report back in a couple weeks, closely followed by a 12K bill! After f ighting with my insurance company I think I ended up paying around 1500.00. I just mention that because the tests can be really expensive. The doctor was Dr. Lindsey Pearson though. Dunno if he is still in Tucson, but might be worth investigating.
Gene H. replied:
Dr. Jacob Pinnas, if he is still practicing. I suffer from allergies and asthma and he took great care of me back in the 90 s. Hard to believe that was already 20 years ago......
Does anyone know of a good allergist in Tucson preferably on the north/northwest side of town?
Melanie C. replied:
Dr Lahood. He does have a northwest office but is normally by tmc. He's amazing! And trust me, I've been to many (getting shots for 17 years). He also gets to know his patients and is so personable. Oh and he also does pediatrics.
Becky H. replied:
I have 2 good friends that use Dr. Lahood. I hear he is wonderful!
