Hanny, the best Kopi Luwak is the wild one. Rare. Limited quantity. Especially in some coffee farms in Bali last year, as the weather wasn't too good enough and affected the harvest quality and quantity (except the biggest and we'll processed coffee farms). I have some kilos left of last years stock (my farmers in Kintamani and Plaga villages have not too much). Luwak poops shouldn't be let dry too long and should be process well to keep its quality. I can guarantee you I have one of the best wild luwak. But it's rare. Roasted by my uncle at Kahiyang Coffee Kajeng last week (beans are from me and I got it directly from the farmers) and I will also share the best of Arabica Kintamani Mt.Catur which has similar taste with Kintamani luwak coffee (the farmer that produces this coffee beans is my humble teacher and he also supplies to do many big and popular coffee shops in Bali). Hit me up if you want to have real Bali coffee experience.:)
Ian S. replied:
Please don't do this. It is a cruel industry, and wild palm civets eat a broad variety of things (fruit, insects, etc) - not just coffee beans. It isn't sustainable when it comes to supplying a retail market. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-24034029

Jean A. replied:
kahiyang coffee at Jalan Sri Wedari is the best!!! if you are lucky enough, you can see their green beans before roasted or when they roasting the green beans. they have the small roasting machine there too. you can ask to Uncle Iwan (well, I call him Uncle), he knows lot of Bali and Indonesian coffees. their Bali coffee beans are from local organic coffee farmers, both robusta and arabica, and they only buy qualified green beans for their coffee. you can have both manual brew or from espresso machine, up to how you like your coffee.
