Dr Hughes at primary medical we LOVE her

^Dr Hughes is good, she used to be at surfside pediatrics, we really liked her.

Dr Jim Halverson is my favorite here in town. He is not a pediatrician but took care of all my children and even found my daughters heart murmer. Everyone in his practice is wonderful.

We love Dr. Gay in oak view. He is family practice so he will see the whole family.

I met an amazing pediatrician recently who works out of thousand oaks but will do home visits in ventura. Her name is Sonia Pinzon-Arellano. Her number is 805-372-1760. Super supportive of parents' choices and very loving. She spends an hour with her patients. Also, if you are willing to drive to Santa Barbara, Dr. Margot Roseman is great too (more affordable, as she accepts most insurances). Dont have her number on me.

Dr. Timothy Williamson is a great pediatrician. He saved my life. I had to have all kinds of special therapist, doctors, psychologist and I had disorders and was very sick as a baby/child. Dr. Williamson identified and got me to all the right people. I am fine and healthy now. He and his wife have adopted many children with special needs. He is reserved when you first meet him but will open up when he gets to know you more. We love him and can't thank him enough for what he did for me.

Sounds like a job for an licensed clinical social worker Alan Doyl in ventura is great with children

We went to Alan Doyl years ago. He was not much help. Our son wouldn't open up (after one session) so Doyl said he couldn't help. Disappointing.

I had Sensory Defensiveness Disorder. I would wig out to certain sounds, heat and the feel of things.

I have a son I'm adopting with the same issues. I would suggest Dr Lee at Ventura County Pediatric Diagnostic Center. Bonnie I would love to connect with these parents my son turns 4 in November and has a lot of similar issues. It would be nice to have the support of other parents that understand and maybe we can help each other. I recently read a study that suggests that these children actually suffer from PTSD.

Dr Niazi is amazing at the pediatrics diagnostic center also... She has been my kids go to doctor since they were born if I'm concerned. Otherwise the docs they have there on duty are so good with children

Dr. Allison Shuman is AMAZING! Not like ANY Doctor I have ever seen. She's very involved and loving and caring with her child patience. A lot of my friends go to her and they too love her.

My nephew went with Dr Brown & he was extremely thorough. Diagnosed him with a rare illness when everyone else was trying to diagnose as something else.

Dr. Ben Pecht he's awesome and easy on the eyes...lol let me know of one for Kaiser too.. lol

Dr. Pecht is with Coastal Pediatrics and they were always really good about appts. they got the whole First time mom Panic appts.

Dr. Brown I heard is extreme good

My friend said that there is no other choice than Dr. Brown. Her kids have been with him for over 9 years.

Dr Brown is awesome. he great at explaining things. I like him better than Dr. Barraza

I took Ms Amaya to Dr.Brown twice including an UC visit and first well baby check up and we (hubby and I) liked him very much! Couldn't stay with Kaiser but if I would have stayed he would have been my preferred pediatrician

We love our Dr. Kang out of Camarillo, but we really like Dr. Barraza when Oxnard is more convenient. There was an AlfaroBreeze(sp?) at one time who was great too.

Dr. Nichols at the Santa Paula west clinic is a fabulous pediatrician and they take all insurance types. I've had three different peds for my kiddo and she's been the best by far.

Dr. Fostakowsky and Dr.Peck both in the same office are really good.

I love Dr. Hughes. She's very breastfeeding friendly, Arya loves her, she will do vaccinations on a different timeline if you prefer, (I vaccinate on schedule but some people have different thoughts about that) and she just had a little baby not too long ago. She's at Surfside Pediatrics in Ventura.

Dr. Lee in Ventura!! The best! Dr Nyazi is real good too they're in the same office on Loma Vista. He goes above and beyond for his patients and the ladies in that office are great!! And they are actual pediatricians. CMH doesn't have pediatricians they only have Family practitioners that will see children

Not true with no pediatricians at CMH.I work at CMH and we have many good pediatricians. Ali Shuman is the best.

I was going to recommend Dr. Hughes as well. I've had a great experience with her.

Coral, I think you would really like Dr Hughes at Primary Medical. She's incredibly respectful of parents' choices regarding the care of their children. We see Dr Kawasaki in Thousand Oaks. She's perfect for our crunchy family. She's not very mainstream with her practices.
