Here's one for PEI, although I can't comment on how useful it is, as I don't remember ever using it! http://www.gov.pe.ca/archives/index.php3?number=1006228&lang=E

Reporting COVID Related Health Violations Hi all,
I've just returned from my local grocery store and it was extremely apparent they're violating social distancing...

What exactly was wrong?
wormofautumn replied:
Have you considered going to another grocery store and allowing the patrons of that business to decide for themselves if they’re comfortable with what’s taking place, within reason? Or do you need each one of your thought processes approved by Dr. Bonnie before you feel you can make a logical decision? Also, if you feel you have a genuine enough concern then it’s pretty simple to google this query. Do you *really* want a phone number to call for reporting these things or are you searching for people to share in your outrage that there isn’t 100% guideline compliance across the board more than two months into them first being implemented?
500grain replied:
Relax, you'll live longer. If it is a workplace violation then workers have a duty to report it to WCB. If you just don't like that they aren't following \*guidelines\* (as there are really very few actual medical 'legal' directives issued) then shop somewhere else or ask to talk to the manager, you don't need to try and find someone to phone to complain

Let's agree on a term, shall we? Is it "COVID Nazi" or "COVID police" that we want to go with from now on? Edit: I'm going to be using "COVID Karen" from this point forward. Thanks for all the feedback!

Convince one of our MANY craft breweries to create a locally-produced, ethically-sourced version. Those places are yeast havens. Call it Victomite or something.

Try Market on Yates, they usually have it

Can you boil the liquid off some Olde English 800, and leave whatever paste is left out to get nice and ripe for a few days? Might be a similar experience.

Go for a walk on the beach at Gyro Park in [Cadboro Bay](https://goo.gl/maps/MvBME3 xcAP12), and then try [Pepper's](http://www.peppers-foods.com/) in Cadboro Bay Village. It's a small store, but I'd bet you a lightly buttered piece of toast that they have it.
Superpest replied:
Have you tried Australia
angeluscado replied:
Looks like Amazon has it, if you're not against ordering online. I haven't seen it locally, but then again it's not something I look for.

Wasn't the sale of Vegemite banned in Canada due to some of the ingredients or something?

Does anyone know what year Welburnes Grocery store opened at Cook & Pandora Streets ?
Lynn M. replied:
Wellburn’s Market still in business since 1914. Started by Mathew Wellburn at Cook & Pandora building, designed by architect W. Ridgeway Wilson in 1911
Lynn M. replied:
The residential floor above is known as The Parkway Way Apartments. When Mathew Wellburn’s started his business in 1914, there was a bank, a bakery, and a pharmacy on the main floor. It was managed by Mathew’s son George, till the end of the 1960’s, Mathew died in 1969 at the age of 98. Jim Hall ran the business until the mid 1970’s and sold the business to Francis Ko and Harvey Cheung. They then sold the business to the Lum Family in 1983 and it is still run by the family. There was a major renovation in 1995 and now the whole bottom floor is the retail area for Wellburn’s except of about 300 square feet which is occupied by the Cook Street Barber.
does anyone remember myrna's hair salon or price's grocery store?
Trudy E. replied:
I remember the Thicketts & Jacobsons, & Lockerage sounds familiar. I used to watch TV at Karen Jacobson's after school at Langford Elementary. They lived at the corner of Goldstream and Jacklin, but I think her cousin Bunny lived on Bryn Mawr. There was also a Buxton family at the end of Bryn Mawr.

Conte's makes ravioli that is pretty good. Try your local health food store for it (It's US based). Metro's store brand (Irrestibles) also has a few stuffed pasta options, located in the freezer section with the other gf goodies. You can also check the Gluten Free Garage website for their vendor listing. You might have some luck there. Good luck:)
