Has anyone had laser eye surgery done in Victoria? As far as I know, there are two clinics in Victoria - LasikMD downtown and KingLasik in the uptown centre. Does anyone...

I have. I went for KingLasik, its more expensive but I figure that its your eyes... its the last thing you should be cheaping out on. Its been over a year and I have not had a single issue with them and I have recommended KingLasik to a few friends

I had LASIK with INTRAlase done by Dr. King in June. I walked in with 20-600 vision, and now have 20-15. Total cost was $4 k, but I got the lifetime package and upgraded to the laser for cutting the flap, and the intralase laser for vision correction. Drastically improved my night vision as well. It sounds pricey, but I was easily spending $1 k/year for contacts and solution, plus money for glasses, medication for infections, etc. TL;DR: Dr. King fixed my eyes real good.

I had mine done by IRIS. Had to go to Vancouver though.

I had PRK done at LasikMD in February. I would definitely recommend them, though I never checked out King Lasik myself. They made me feel very relaxed and at ease about the procedure and the aftercare has been excellent as well. If you're unsure about Lasik altogether, I must say that it was the best decision I've ever made and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Also, LasikMD will price match, and I found that there's a place in Vancouver (Coal Harbour Eye Centre - www.seewell.ca - sorry I suck at formatting) that lists their prices online, so I brought in a current printout of their pricing on the day of surgery and they matched it. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I just had this done 4 weeks ago at King LASIK. I was happy with the experience and staff overall and would definitely recommend.

I had PRK done at King Lasik. I have had no real show stopper issues with my surgery. Eyes are a little dry after sleeping, but drops in the morning and all is good. Can't complain at all with now having 20/15 vision

My ex-girlfriend had it done by KingLasik and was pretty bad for a couple of days after. It was a few months back and I've obviously lost a lot of memories but she did the surgery that was faster which I believe was regular but second guessed herself and thought PRK might have been a better option.

I had mine done at King Lasik in January. Best decision I ever made. Now have better then 20/20 vision, I still have to use eye drops but that's from staring at a screen for work all day. It wasn't cheap but I am previously mentioned I figured when it comes to your eyes I wasn't going to go bargain hunting.

LasikMD! I had a great experience. And my surgeons were pretty good looking too.
Does any one know where the blood donor clinics happen here?

On campus it's in the Michele Room in the Sub, and it's across the street from Future Shop and WalMart uptown. Just be sure you don't go if you're just getting off a cold, that can screw up the tests that they do, like they did to mine.
