A great trainer is Phillip with Log Cabin Kennel on hwy. 401 N toward Louisburg. About a 15 or 20 minutes drive from Wake Forest. I board my dog here also. Phillip is very good and has trained several german shepherds. Also, many other dogs.

I always use Rover.com you can drop your pup at a dog sitters house. On the site there are reviews for all the sitters from past customers and you can do a meet and greet before booking it. I have found this cheaper than boarding and my dog is a pretty anxious pup that I rescued so it's better for her to have more 1:1 time rather than being around a ton of other dogs that will overwhelm her.
