Recommendations for a vet? Any suggestions for a vet? I'm living on Post Road in Warwick, but I'll travel up to 30-40 mins for a great vet. I have cats and a dog.

The best vet in the WORLD is Meredith Bird of Wickford Veterinary Services. She is by far... and I mean BY FAR... the most wonderful veterinarian you could ever hope to find. Without any profit, and on her own land, she hosts the [RI Wildlife Rescue](http://www.riwildliferehab.org/aboutus.html). I've recommended her to others, and one pug owner thanked me endlessly for Dr. Bird saving her dog's life (after it ate a peach pit.). Honest to God, she is the very best.

I'm not a fan of Titan Vet on Airport.

I live in the same area, and my wife and I have cats and a dog. Our experience with the local vets are as follows:
[Four Paws/RI Animal Medical center](http://www.4pawsne.com/) (warwick ave)
> pros: top of the line services, large facility
>
>cons: extremely expensive, owner is a dick (we actually stopped going there because the owner made inappropriate remarks at my wife, then threatened to not take care of our pets when she confronted him)
[Titan Vet](http://titanvetclinic.wix.com/titan-vet-clinic#!__our-clinic) (airport road)
>Pros: Relatively inexpensive, Friendly staff, feels like a mom and pop vet that has been around for a while
>
>Cons: Very tiny office/store area; Staff is very disorganized
[Warwick Animal Hospital](http://www.warwickanimalhospitalri.com/) (elmwood ave)
>Pros: Reasonably Priced; good-sized Facility; open 365 days/year
>
>Cons: They were initially rude to us before we used them as our vet and had to use their emergency services
We use Warwick Animal Hospital now for all our cats and our dog, and we have found that they were the best of the three. They are reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and now remember our pets, and they have a pharmacy in house for when we need meds for the pets. We haven't felt like they were pushing and services or products on us. Two of our cats are 14 and 16 and require more care for their old age - since we started going there the doctors their have helped tremendously with our oldest cat who has a thyroid problem, where the other vets were doing the minimum for her (and for so much more money!).
I did like Titan vet, since they were very affordable and super nice, however they were very unorganized - they lost our cat's records more than once, and on several occasions forgotten to order our cat's meds, despite us setting up an automatic refill with them several times. The vets themselves were very nice and seemed competant. However the exam rooms were extremely tiny and felt cramped.
Four Paws is more upscale. You get what you pay for there. We probably had our cats there for about 5 years. Every single time we went there I felt like I was paying through the nose; everything just seemed so expensive. The vets and staff were very nice.
Good luck!

Patricia Ader. Can't go wrong with her - quality work, straight shooter and low prices. She's in Warwick, about a mile of I95 right near Apponaug.

For some reason, I really liked this thread! People always have so much concern over choosing their doctors, why not their vets too?

West Shore Animal Clinic on West Shore Rd in Warwick (Across from Vets HS). Drs. Consiglio and Gelsomino are exceptional, and I've been bringing our beasts there for 14 years (admittedly not the same vets as when I first started, but we've stayed because they're amazing. Edit: their phone # is 401-738-3447

Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in East Greenwich is my go-to. I'm in Portsmouth, but the professionalism and facilities are top notch so it's worth the 40 min ride. I'm in love with their exotics specialist Lucy Spelman, she's taken great care of my iguanas and birds. They also have a 24/7 emergency vet. My parents take their dogs there as well and they deal with everything from dog epilepsy to diabetes!

Care for Animals in Warwick, not far from you. The prices are very reasonable (my cat had an anal sac expression last time she was there and it only cost us $50 for the entire visit) and the vet genuinely cares about your animals.

Washington County Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Otis is the man. They are really good about keeping pets that are new there comfortable. They have seen my puppy for everything she has needed. Have had other family pets there over the last 19 years. 10/10

always had amazing experiences at North Paws in Smithfield. Dr Paradise saved my dogs life after an attack and they are extremely friendly, competent and awesome.
Anyone know any good and affordable vets around here? Just moved here in October and my dog is sick and I'm trying not to break the bank with a huge vet bill.

Condamine Vet Clinic has excellent service, great staff, and they talk to you and treat your own pets really well with so much love etc. I recommend them for pensioners. not sure if they are the cheapest though.
