Barbershops? Hey guys, I wanted to see your recommendations for barbershops in town.
I go to Diverse and liking it so far. Only thing I feel like is missing from the...

You're looking for [Spearhead](http://www.spearheadbarbershop.com/). They finish all cuts with a straight razor line up. The downside of their popularity is that some barbers can be fully booked a couple weeks out.

I work in Guelph so I always get my hair cut at the Crown on Silvercreek and it rules. The downside is there's only one barber so she can be pretty busy. The upside is Tania is great and it's a cool place.
I've had my hair cut a handful of times at Spearhead in Waterloo. Mitch is a nice guy and he gave me a really good haircut for a reasonable price. I don't remember the names of the other two barbers I had there, but they were also friendly and good at cutting hair. I don't particularly care for all the hipster trappings. Also, every time I've had my hair cut there someone has told me a story about how much they love working there and used a variation of the line "do you want to cut hair or do you want to be A Barber"

I've been happy with the service at Maurizio's near the boardwalk.

I often go to diverse because they are better with my hair type but I occasionally go to Upper Cut on King. They do an excellent job as well.

Lucys on lancaster best hands down on the less axpensive side but lucy goes above and beyond with straight razor, hot towels and head massage its amazing all for 26$ I think
Where to get a straight razor close shave? Can anyone recommend a barber that does old style shaves?

I realize you're likely just looking to pay for the experience but I cannot recommend enough buying your own straight razor and taking care of business yourself. It's far less expensive than replacing your standard razor blades since it doesn't clog. And once you get past the first few bloody attempts it's smooth sailing!
