Kathy Menard @ Compatible Canines rt 148 just before rt 20. She has been involved in obedience & other training for years and years. Obedience training is a must which can include teaching the dog to not touch food using the "leave it" command. You can go on line and read and watch videos. I highly recommend Kathy. I've been involved with Doberman rescues for years & have done obedience for years. I always take any and all of my rescues to obedience classes. Any problems can be addressed & taken care of. The classes teach both you and your dog plus helps with bonding which takes 3 or more months. I have my 10th Doberman rescue since 1976. I'm not an expert but I do know a lot about dogs & their needs especially when they come from rescue. The food aggression is a rather easy fix. I can make recommendations but with a good trainer they will give you the tools and methods to over come the aggression.

Go talk with Kathy Menard at Compatible K-9 in Sturbridge. Pet food store on 148 in Sturbridge. She is one of the best trainers and has been doing training for years. I had a Doberman who was found on the streets of NY City and had been protection trained. Working with Kathy we & he over came all of his over protection actions. She also raises GSD's and had top honors in Schutzen. One of only 4 in the country who got to this highest honor.
Anyone know of a good and reasonably priced dog trainer or facility in the West Brookfield area?
