Dr Crockett was horrible to me. I would not go see her if my life depended upon it. Dr Sullivan's office in mount vernon is booked through to October. Quite a few patients switched when my dr retired earlier this month. I called their office yesterday. They did ask if I was pregnant so maybe they'd be able to get you in before then if you were pregnant? I've heard good things about Moodly and Foulk in Marion.
Jennifer C. replied:
Ashley Chafin mine did 4 d covered by insurance...see other comment above where
Amber A. replied:
I am not from the area so with my first child we decided we wanted to deliver at MedCentral in Mansfield. My son was preemie and he had to be delivered at OSU, I later learned Marion has a NICU, my Dr now is Dr. Mousa. He is friendly, professional, and his been diligent, caring, and helpful with pre pregnancy concerns and other concerns I have had. I also understand he works at Heart beat in Morrow county.
Dianna H. replied:

Dr. Sullivan in mount Vernon I love love him. I saw a comment about Dr. Stillson and I absolutely hated her but I love him. He has delevired both of my children and I will be delivering this one. His staff is not bad. I love them and they have never been rude to me but that doesn't mean they haven't been rude to anybody else. I will say that his receptionist do change a lot.

Jennifer L. replied:
you will NEVER find a better OB then Dr. Hammett out of Delaware!!! he not only saved MY life but saved my daughters as well...if it wasn't for him neither of us would be here...he is caring too... he is very personal with his patients... my story is a long one with him..... I had a different OB which was horrible when I lost my first pregnancy to a miscarriage...I switched to him shortly there after... with him I lost my first daughter who died at birth because my water broke too early...he cried WITH me.... he then worked with my husband and I to get through the difficulties I had in getting pregnant then the difficulties in carrying the child as well... due to him I had my son who was born healthy and happy... and a few years later I ended up surprisingly pregnant again .... he was so attentive through each pregnancy.... due to his intuition in running a few tests early I was rushed to riverside where my daughter was born 2 months early... happy and healthy.... although if it weren't for him..... it would have been a tragic ending to BOTH of us!! my husband was told AFTER my daughter was born that if it weren't for Dr. H's knowledge and care he probably only had another 24-48 hours with me and my daughter would not have made it either I would recommend that man to ANYBODY who is looking for a doctor who will not only look out for your well being and your childs well being as well....but a doctor who actually KNOWS what he is doing AND is caring as well!!! Congratulations and God Bless you and your child

Kristi G. replied:
I loved dr Crockett. With my first I saw dr Campbell for the beginning of my pregnancy and then switched because he was so rude and had no idea what he was talking about. I had complications that he tried telling me was due to taking too hot of showers and then gave me a medication that he couldn't even properly explain how to use to me. Once I switched to the smith clinic they quickly figured out my issue was cervical complications and had absolutely nothing to do with the temp of my shower lol. Dr Crockett was pregnant right along with me so she was incredibly sympathetic and actually listened and helped me, unlike dr Campbell who told me to just 'suck it up'. I had a few complications with my pregnancy and she handled it all amazingly. With my second pregnancy I started seeing Debbie burns who is also in the office with her. She aggravated me during my appointments but she ended up being the one there to deliver for me and she was great during that.
Looking for Doctor, Dentist, and OBGYN recommendations! I moved up to Columbus this past August, and I think it's about time I find doctors in the area since it's wildly...
TrueBlonde replied:
Dr James Ford is on High and Long and he's an excellent dentist!
SoggyMcGriddle replied:
Do not go to Dr. William Hammet for an obgyn. He's part of Ohio Health. I went to him for birth control and he flat out told me. "You should not be having sex at your age. You're going to end up pregnant with the wrong guy." I was completely shocked because I'm an adult in my 20 s being responsible by getting protection. He also refused to do a pelvic exam on me, I'm not sure why. My dentist is pretty great Dr. Gardner on Indianola.
eatyourbabies replied:
High Street Dental, Dr. Clark. Northwest OBGYN, Dr. Lindauer

I'm a big fan of Dr. Trout with Stoneridge OB/GYN for OB/GYN. He is in Dublin so may be a bit of a drive for you. He is part of OSU, but he's both thorough and efficient. I've never been taken back late for an appt (high risk pregnancy last year - lots of appts), and I was never kept long, even though I had all my questions/concerns addressed. I've heard good things about others in the same practice, though I don't have much experience with them beyond my hospital stay when I delivered.
kickwheel replied:
I go all the way up to ACOOG (http://www.acoog-obgyn.com/) in Westerville for my gyno. I'm a qualitative researcher and I did a number of office visits at different practices around Cbus (and the country) a few years ago. I really liked the people in this office and the way things were run there, so I transferred up there. Have not regretted it.

I dunno bout you, but I do like Doc Jascot for Mt Carmel stuff.
gabithatabitha replied:
Dr. Kristin Oaks for primary care... Formerly in Worthington but currently located on Jasonway off of Bethel... Online appt option for established patients and holistic approaches when appropriate. Not in a rush to prescribe unnecessary drugs.
velocirapattack replied:
OSU has a very large network of doctors all over columbus. With MULTIPLE locations. Your best bet would be to establish a PCP first and then have him or her place referrals as needed. Their general information number is 614-293-8000. I know for sure their are PCPs in Hilliard and Grandview accepting new patients. Secondly, your Cigna insurance is a good place to start. They'll tell you whose in network and if they are any "preferred" providers in your area. Meaning lower copays, out of pocket, etc
queerkat4 replied:
Dr. Kemp in Westerville. The practice is a mom and daughter, both are Dr. Kemp. Both are fantastic. Dr. Akbar thru Mt. Carmel is good as a pcp. I love the midwives at OSU. If you want an OB/GYN specifically, stay away from Dr. Isabel. I had awful experiences with him.
OfficerBimbeau replied:
For OBGYN, my wife has seen Dr. John Paraskos for several years. He delivered both our kids and is awesome, as are the other docs in the practice. I think they call it Premier Women's Health. They have an office next to Riverside Hospital.

I'm pretty pleased with Angela Gym DDS. She's very nice and has tiny hands (which is great for a dentist).
4Nails replied:
There are four basic kinds of primary care physician in the Central Ohio market. OSU, OhioHealth, Mount Carmel Partners, and Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC). When a hospital system owns a primary care physician it is so they can force them to refer to those physicians in the same system. It is only COPC and other fully independent physicians who can make the decision based only on the quality of care to be provided. What doctor do you want?
spring45 replied:
Merion Village Dental just south of downtown is excellent.
