Dog Boarding I am moving to Wichita over the next few weeks for work. My job requires me to travel overnight from time to time. Does anybody have any recommendations...

Girlfriend uses Rover.com and has had some good experiences. Her favorite person moved so I don't have any specific recommendations but I like the site and concept in general.

Wagn tail ranch is wonderful. We boarded our dogs there while in the process of moving to Wichita. We drove back and forth on weekends to work on our house here. No dog likes to be left somewhere else and Im not going to lie and say they enjoyed it but the staff was always genuinely friendly and the way our dogs interacted with them made me comfortable. And our dogs are pretty shy by nature. They let them kennel with each other which Ithink probably helped. It also is pretty secure. A gate going in and two fences surrounding the place. Which meant a lot to us. One of our dogs is an escape artist and got away from a border once. The lady thought she was being nice and kept Bella on her lap at the desk. Someone came in the door and she leapt over the desk and out onto the street! Shes a miniature greyhound so very quick. They all chased her and she ended up in the middle of traffic, a car hit her, bouncing her off the side. One of the guys was close enough to scoop her up and off the street. They rushed her to emergency vet downtown. By miracle she was ok, just some roadrash and sore. But after that a secure place was the most important.

Sydneys pet resort is where I take my dog. They do a daycare during the day and let the dogs romp around.

First of all, great username. We use All Dogs Bark 'n Play for doggie daycare and, occasionally, for boarding when our friends can't watch her. It's owned and operated by dog lovers and we've had good experiences there.

I absolutely recommend Heartland Animal Hospital and their attached boarding place Heartland Play and Stay. They are absolutely amazing. All of the staff members are friendly, caring, and concientious people. The vets are amazing. My dogs always have an awesome time when I board them. And in addition to boarding they also do daycare. So, of you have a day where you'll be running errands all day and don't want the dog to be bored at home all alone, you can drop them off in the morning, do your stuff, and pick them up in the afternoon. I swear I'm not a shill for them. It's just that I've used them as my vet for 10 years and have never wanted to go anywhere else. The only downside is they're a smaller boarding place and fill up quickly. I've used Chissolm Creek a few times. They're...fine. The staff is friendly, though I recommend you pay close attention to what they charge you as they do make mistakes. And they're more expensive than Heartland. Also, the last time I used them they claimed one of my dogs got mad at her brother and attacked him, so they separated them. But then the report card they sent me said they did well together and it was obvious they love each other. Very odd. So, they're fine, but not my first choice.

What size dog is it? If it is under 25 lbs. then Paws to Play on Central, just east of 235 is great. The dogs are not in kennels at night (unless you want). There are play areas and there is someone who sleeps there all night in the facility. The dogs are setup in rooms depending on size and comfort level.

Kutter Pet Care in Andover has boarding. Must be current for all shots. The dog spends the day in doggie daycare and rest in cozy cubicles. My old-man-puppy loved going to Kutter. Everyone there was his best friend.

I actually go out of my way to drive to Mulvane so I can take my dogs to Grandpaw's house. They spend a lot of energy matching dogs with a buddy they will get along with and letting them play. My dog is always sad to come home and leave his friends.
