Call these guys: http://www.k-9 controltraining.com/ They do a free evaluation, and are very honest in their assessments. I have a rescue pit bull, who is not stranger friendly or leash friendly - he had her chilling out in less than 10 minutes. Talked about how it's important to retrain their brains, instead of the whole alpha/dominant thing. He can train in German or Russian, too. Immaculate facility. Law enforcement uses him for their training, too. Not cheap, so I'm saving up for it, but absolutely worth it. I found him through a friend, who had their rescue trained for off leash commands. I was in awe. Best behaved dog ever!!

I can't help you with finding a good one, but I would absolutely recommend NOT using Ashtyn Boyd. She's unprofessional and she nearly lost a friends dog by letting it jump out of her car window. I also heard the literal exact same thing happened again to another person who trusted her with their dog. Good luck finding a good trainer!

I second Justin. The Salina Kennel Club is about teaching the owner to train the dog, socializing the dog with strange dogs and people, and experienced trainers with a variety of backgrounds and skills helping owners to problem solve. I think we would all agree that owning a dog takes dedication. If the ownder is dedicated to the obedience class homework, owner and dog both graduate the class with lifeskills. It's definitely worth the $45.
Anyone know of a good dog trainer or program? Were having trouble with agression issues toward other dogs from our lab mix. Shes so sweet towards all other animals and...
