Women's Health Associates of St. Joseph's - a midwife group. They deliver most of the babies at St. Joe's hospital (Towson area). I loved them. For a doula, I'd recommend Emily Pelton of Baltimore Family Beginnings (baltimorefamilybeginnings.com). I took all my prenatal classes with her and she's lovely. I used Bobbie Humphrey (http://doulamatch.net/profile/1331/bobbie-humphrey-cddona) and liked her very much. Check out birth options alliance for a great list of area birth centers, hospitals, etc. I am also a doula in md, if you would like you can check out my page@sacredjourneybirthservices. Just avoid Holy Cross Hospital in my opinion.

Hospital birth: GW's midwives are fabulous, and Physicians & Midwives is a great practice, too. Out of hospital birth: BirthCare is in Alexandria, and Family Health & Birth Center is in DC. Those are your main CNM groups in the area! Lots of CPMs here, though, if you're looking for that!
