My parents posted a flier in the Art and Architecture building of UM and the house I grew up in was a grad student's masters thesis. The house is beautiful, feels incredibly spacious without being larger than average, and is geo-heat friendly. The architect is now famous in New Zealand (where he lives, otherwise I'd give you his contact info). They had a great experience with lots of design input. You can get great architecture for a steal!
