My mom works for Dr Barr at Island Eyecare by the mall- he''s an optometrist not an opthalmologist, not sure which one yoiu need. Opthalmologists are usually needed if there are other medical conditions to take into consideration that affect the eyes. 410-280-6040
Melissa H. replied:
We go to South River Eye Care now because it's convenient (right off of Route 2), they're very friendly and have a good selection of glasses. I will tell you that they are a bit pricey though. They had a younger female eye doctor that Anna really liked which was a big plus.

Looking for an eye doctor for routine exam. Who is good??
Pamela D. replied:
I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Servinsky at Brilliant Eyecare in the Clock Towers at 1410 Forest Drive, Suite 1, Annapolis, MD 21403 here in Eastport. 410.295.3010. He is AWESOME, caring, not an alarmist, but makes sure that YOUR concerns/needs are closely attended and has great contacts if it needs to be escalated to an opthomalogist. He has taken care of me for many years here in Eastport and I trust him with NO hesitation. He is a partner in@Brilliant Eyecare. LOVE HIM! And I am MOST picky about any of my doctors.

Any recommendations for a good eye doctor in the Annapolis/sev park area?? Have possible tear duct blockage and lots of swelling....
Becky F. replied:
Dr. Snow
Rob L. replied:
I had that same problem and went to Dr. Zwick he is very good, he took care of the problem for me and all is good .
Holly F. replied:
It could be deep in the tissue. If antibiotics don't help in a few days, you should have it looked again! Optometrists can treat if it's not severe, otherwise you need an Opthomologist! Bay hills eye care can help with treatment. 410-757-1350

Kristin H. replied:
Massage the tear duct a couple times a day and warm compresses but, if you have swelling you may want to have it checked out. My 2 younger kids had it and I also worked for Dr Maria Scott. That is what they told me to do with my girls. Chesapeake Eye Care has an ocular plastics doctor that deals with this Dr Zwick

Crofton Family Eye Care has always done well by me. Great doctors and staff - everything you'd want.
Jen O. replied:
Crofton Family Eye Care for me as well. Dr. Klonsky and his team have been taking care of all three of us since I was in first grade (which was just last year of course!)
Amelia M. replied:
Brilliant Eye Care. I was not able to stand wearing the progressives and had to try old fashioned bifocals. Mostly I just juggle multiple pairs of glasses.
James F. replied:
Brilliant Eye Care on Forest Drive is the preferred choice of many Annapolitans.
James F. replied:
I got my cool glasses there. Joanne Brilliant is a wonderful optometrist.
Jeffrey S. replied:
On my fourth pair. Lens Crafters has always done a fine job. Don't know why she feels chain stores can't do it right (seems like the optha's and opti's are just looking out for each other to me).
Hi neighbors, can anyone recommend an ophthalmologist in the area? Thanks!
