Looking for recommendations on a great pediatrician and dentist for my 5 year old. New to the area and have no idea where to start -- this seemed like the best place.

Suzann T. replied:
Annapolis Peds and David Johnson DDS410-267-7713.
Brenda E. replied:
Your absolutely right they are a large group and Im sad you had an issue with one but like you said you don't let one discourage you, because they are a very good group overall. We had Dr Libber and as I said I wouldn't change a thing, Its been a few years since we left and Im hearing there's a whole new group there and that Libber is at the Wahl Chapel office?
Erica R. replied:
We love Dr. Maya Vernon in Severna Park (Pediatric Dentist)
Susan D. replied:
Bayside Peds. Dr Nold and Escabosa. Best ever
Tania P. replied:
Dr maya Vernon is an amazing dentist! And we have loved Dr. Jeff Nold forever!
Natalie S. replied:
I took my son to Dr. Mann in GB. Excellent with children.
Cindy H. replied:
It looks like most people recommended Annapolis Pediatrics. Is this the Annapolis office? Someone said the Arnold office is closing.
Rebecca H. replied:
Annapolis Pediatics - 410-263-6363, i went there as a kid and all 3 of my kids go there
Gemma H. replied:
Cindy Beaver Hoffmann the Annapolis office is on Forbes street right across from the navy football stadium
Kristin H. replied:
I was on my tablet earlier and still learning LOL to type on it. We see Gwen Reese at Annapolis Pediatrics not sure if you have any special needs but, she is amazing with my girls having Sensory Processing Disorder. Few doctors will admit it even exists and she is one of the ones that believes it does. We have seen most of the pediatric dentist in the area. We used to see Dr Tull and Behling with my oldest until they started scheduling out more than 6 mos and that was making our apt the day of her last visit. If we need to r/s it could be a year between visits. The cancelation list works but, you have to be home to get that call if not you miss out. We started with Dr McGrath when she was in with Dr Collins. We loved Dr Collins office however we loved Dr McGrath more. So we moved over to Kent Island to see her when she opened her practice. Again she takes my girls sensory issues into consideration for any dental work. Their comfort has always been the most important thing with her. We did in the beginning a knee to knee exam with my girls. My almost 3 yr old has been seeing her for a year now and hops right in the chair to have her count her teeth. Also as an FYI Dr Margaret McGrath the dentist is married to Dr John McGrath the pedi at Annapolis Peds. He is also a great pedi. Really most in that office I really like. The only one I avoid at all cost is Dr Edwards. IF you would like to have info on that please feel free to PM me. I have my girls charts marked to not be seen by her ever. She refused to treat my oldest for an urgent visit.
Rebecca L. replied:
Dr.West at Maryland Primary Care in Arnold. She was referred to me by a friend and we love her! Very down to earth, flexible with what the parent's want and most importantly trusts parents to know their children best. Cannot recommend her enough.
Gemma H. replied:
Annapolis peds treated me so well growing up! I dread the day I have to leave them. Dr. Libber was who I saw but now that I usually just have short check ups I usually just see a nurse. (Best part is they don't even care that I'm really too old to still be there.
Jeanne K. replied:
Dr Kim Ross. She's right up on Bellerive; my kids are 20 and 21 and have been going to her since age 5 and 4. It's not a 'kid' oriented office, but she is wonderful! I mean, there is no train set running around or lamb pictures on the wall. She is also very thorough:)
I second Vernon Pediatric Dentistry-my kids love going to see her!! We just had our 2 nd appointment with her and my daughter can't wait to go back.
Tami B. replied:
We take my daughter to Dr Henrick Anderson for dentistry. While not a pediatric dentist, he is great with the kids (has 4 of his own) and so is his office staff. Plus, it's a whole lot easier to make appointments when everyone goes to the same place. I know it made my daughter feel more at ease going to the same dentist we do.
Jessica S. replied:
We go to Annapolis Peds and love it. We go to Dr. Bross at Collins and Assoc in Annapolis. My son had to have emergency work done and they were great.
Kristin H. replied:

Annapolis Peds & I would recommend Gina Friel! She's the best and I wouldn't have my daughter see anyone else! I second Dr.McGrath!
Danielle B. replied:
Annapolis Peds is great. But they are closing the Arnold office.
Stephanie H. replied:
Vernon Pediatric Dentistry on Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Dr Vernon is great! Kids & parents love her!
Kristin H. replied:
TCindy Beaver Hoffmann they also have offices in crofton Kent island and will be openning one in Sevrna park to replace Arnold. I have been to all none are more than a 20 min drive. Depends on who we want to see. All dre rotate throughh Annapolis office. As that is the main office
Brenda E. replied:
The great thing about Annapolis Pediatrics is 1 their staff are all amazing and a bonus they have walk in hours before 8:30 am at least they used to? We're expecting our first grand child and she will be going to Annapolis Pediatrics as well.
Kristin H. replied:
Yes Brenda Embrey they still do walk in hours at the Annapolis office M-F however they also see patients evenings and S&Su for urgent care. We have been there since we moved here in 2001 with my oldest. She was sad to leave them but, at 24 yrs old she needed to go to the big peoples dr. I have always been seen same day for sick and urgent care. My youngest has been treated for RSV and Ecoli and avoided a hospital stay or visit because of the quick treatment she got from them in the office. She will be 3 in Sept (had the RSV at 2 mos and Ecoli at 18 mos) They did all her blood draw and other labs in the office to diagnose and treat. My cousin's son was diagnosed with JD type 2 when he was 20 mos old. He was admitted to the hospital for what was believed to be a milk allergy reaction and almost died. Had it not been for Dr Libber he may not have been here today. He is in High school now. Every time he gets sick it usually lands him in the hospital and Annapolis Peds has always been there to take good care of him.
Brenda E. replied:
Wow Dr Libber was both my kids Dr they are now 26 and 23 and he is by far the most amazing person and Dr as well. Our sons interned together at Broadneck. I wouldn't change a thing as far as my Drs go, I do daycare and I hear daily how disappointed my parents are with their pediatricians and I can only think how lucky I was with Annapolis Peds, I can't think of a single negative I ever had there.
Kristin H. replied:
We have had issues with one doctor there but, I would never hold it against the practice. I have found over the years that in a large practice there are many types of doctors so if the one you see doesn't fit your needs try another before writing off a practice. Our assigned pedi does not believe in SPD and would tell me that nothing was wrong but, we now see Gwen Reese and she gets it. She does believe in it and has been so proactive with my youngest and having her seen by I&T she has a processing delay that would have gone unnoticed if I hadn't had a child with SPD and knowing what we do now. She also is the one that had her seen when she was not eating any solids at 12 mos. Out of all we have seen over the years the one that we had issues with is the only one I would not allow my girls to be treated by. The others have been amazing from pulling out an earring that got stuck, to sitting there and letting me cry when my youngest would not sleep, to even dealing with 28 days of hives after an allergic reaction Dr Conrad himself called to check on her. He was that concerned about her.

Mark F. replied:
Dr. Bhasin.
Phil G. replied:
Ask Victoria Gerdes.
Lisa W. replied:
Dr. Bhasin, Austin is 12 and we've been with her since he was almost 15 mos. Everyone I've referred to her loves her, I used to work for Dr. Markman (horrible office-don't go there) and my patients would even ask me where they should leave to! She's awesome. Her son, Dr. Sam, also works with her, so now I take my son to him and my daughter to her.
Lisa W. replied:
Kelly, I switched to Dr. Bhasin for that very reason! My son had lots of ear inf's and was/is allergic to several antibiotics, of course at 1 yrs old we didn't know that and his old doc, Dr. Gatdula, NEVER returned my calls when my son broke out in massive immediate rash, I ended up having to talk to my pharmacist instead! That happened TWICE! SMH Dr. Bhasin has always called me right back. Also, in the 11 or so years I've been with her, only once have I called and actually caught her in vacation! That was about 2 yrs ago. (She referred her patients to her sister in Columbia that wk)
Ashley H. replied:

Dr. Hackett is great too. These docs are our patients. Too many great peds to deal with crappy administration. No excuse.
We are due to have our first child in very early February/end January and we are starting to look for a great pediatrician in the Arnonld/Annapolis/Severna Park area!...
Tara Y. replied:
We have been with Bayside Pediatrics in Annapolis on Riva Rd. For almost 13 years with three different children. We personally see Dr. Jeffrey Nold for all of our well visits and we love him. They have extended evening hours and Saturday hours and can get you in for a sick visit the same day. The hours and getting you in for same day sick visits is very important!!!! http://www.mybaysidepeds.com
Carol Forsyth, CRNP of the Pediatric Group in Severna Park is wonderful
Jessica L. replied:
Chesapeake Pediatrics in Annapolis. Dr. Corinne Coyner.
Julie C. replied:
I love Annapolis Pediatrics and have always had good experiences there. We use Dr. Rice but I also would recommend Dr. Parmele, Dr. Fassil and Dr. McGrath. I like that they have several offices so for sick visits you have more options. No, you can't always see your primary Dr. for a same day sick visit but on those days you can always see someone. Also, the Annapolis office has walk-in hours Monday Friday 7:30-8:30 am for sick visits without an appointment. They also have weekend hours.
Kimberly L. replied:
Love Dr. Coyner at Ches Pediatrics. Love the walk-in hours as well.
Kathy D. replied:

Chesapeake pediatrics, its only 3 doctors and everyone is very friendly. We have been going there since i was 6 so 19 years. I had to take my son to annapolis for a year bc of insurance and i hated it...too manh doctors never get the same one, push the flu shot, and its just not personal enough for me they dont take the tim to listen i think bc theres just too many doctors
We see Dr Fassil with Annapolis Pediatrics in Severna Park for all out well visits. When a kid is sick we go to whichever office has an appointment and have never had a problem getting a same day appt.
Rebecca H. replied:
Annapolis Pediatrics!! They have fantastic hours and locations throughout the area with the 2 closest being in Annapolis and in Severna Park! I LOVE them!!
Hi Everyone! I'm new to the area and am looking for a pediatrician. Any suggestions either good or places to stay away from would be AWESOME ;) Thanks!
Julie C. replied:
Annapolis Pediatrics! We see Dr. Rice, but also LOVE Dr. McGrath, Dr. Parmele and Dr. Fassil. It's usually very easy to get an appointment with your primary doctor, too.
Julie B. replied:
I like Bayside Pediatrics. It's on Riva Road. We really like Dr. Nold, who is a D.O. I like him because whenever there is a problem, he talks through the possible causes, and also the possible tests -- and the risks of those tests. He's very logical, listens to my concerns, and responds thoughtfully. I wish he were a family doctor, because I don't have a doctor that good for myself, around here.
Christina G. replied:
Annapolis Pediatrics for the win
Kristin H. replied:
have been with Annapolis Pediatrics since we moved here in 2001 and we are very happy. Only one provider we will not see there. Have always been seen same day for urgent and sick visits. We go to the Crofton office but, also have locations in Severna Park, Kent Island, and Annapolis. We really love Gwen Reese she is a CRNP but, amazing with my girls who have special needs. She has been very proactive with my youngest knowing our struggles with my 9 yr old. My youngest was found to have a VSD at birth. Dr Rice found it before we left the hospital and he had Children's National Medical do a teleconference exam at the hospital before they released us. Happy to say she is a healthy 4 yr old.
David K. replied:
We also use Annapolis Pediatrics. We go to the Annapolis or Severna Park offices. They've been great.

DR. Gillard is great!!!
Mimi C. replied:
Dr. Corrine Coyner. She's with Dr. Hoffman at Greater Chesapeake Pediatrics on Old Solomon's Island Rd. I met the third partner, Dr. Jobes, yesterday. She was great as well. My 9 and 14 year olds go to Dr. Jacalyn Ginsburg and Dr. Faith Hackett. In Severna Park next to the bowling alley. When we see them around town they greet the girls by name! We've gotten great care from them.
Mary C. replied:
I have to look up the name of the last female that she saw because she was great. They all are but her primary, Dr. Rice, is a male and as wonderful as he is she switched to a female. Her name is Michelle Schall, CPNP really nice. In all honesty they have all been wonderful over the years.
Kristin H. replied:
I also love Annapolis Pediatrics we see Gwen Reece but love most of the doctors there. Gwen Is in the Crofton office but, not that bad to go to that office. Also they have offices in Annapolis, Severna Park and Kent Island. Do you want a female? If so I will give you a list of the names that we really like. We see males and females. I only have one that I avoid (have my girls chart marked not to be seen by her due to how she treated or should say would not treat Megan) I can also give you her name
Amanda C. replied:
We like Dr. Corinne Coyner at Chesapeake Pediatrics
Mandy H. replied:
I also second Michelle Schall in addition to Fassil and Kim, I am a pediatric nurse and we worked together at Hopkins.
Bianca S. replied:
Love Dr. Kalliongis!! So personable and takes time to talk to the child and parent. I have taken my son to him for 9 years.
Kammy C. replied:
I second Bayside Pediatrics. It is on Riva Rd. ALL doctors there are wonderful, we see Dr. Nold and Dr. Escabosa. If you'd prefer women, Dr. Chaney is reallllly good.
Melissa C. replied:
We adore the CPNP at Annapolis Pediatrics Erin Merli
Michele S. replied:

alright, we're ready for your pediatrician recommendations. Who do you love for your kids and why? Tips on things we should ask for/look for welcomed.
Karen C. replied:
Sitting in Dr. Baig's office now. Again can I say how awesome he is, he just figure out why Savanna has been so sluggish the past couple days. She now has 6 teeth instead of the 4 we thought she had. Way to go Dr. Baig!!!!!
Jason C. replied:
Dr. Baig for sure... You will have no issues getting appointments in his office because of who you are related to. (Yep, you're still a Cutler too!) Dr. Baig has found all of Dakotas issues, things we never even noticed. He also found ChaMonkeys heart problem even though none of the other doctors could. It was then confirmed with the Echo. Holly is an idot as she often lies to cover her tracks when you call her out on things but all the other doctors are amazing. As for Davidsonville Pediatrics... Stay Away! I'd rather have the farm animals there check over my kid. I ran a call there for a young girl with a simple problem, the doctor called 911 for her to be transported which was a joke. The doctor caused the mother and young patient to be freaked out beyond believe.
Emily M. replied:
I second the Dr. Baig recommendation.
Kelli C. replied:
I think whoever you see, you should ask them about what their position is on things that are important to you, i.e vaccines, breast feeding, etc. we love Kathy Lanciano (nurse prac.) at Davidsonville Peds. She is amazing with the kids, and she is wonderful about supporting our decisions for our kids health.
Sara H. replied:
I also like Dr. Tearney at Dr. Baigs office! But if you want to see Dr.Baig in that office.. Ever.. you have to ask for appointments with him. And I also do not recommend Holly..
Kym D. replied:
Dr. Baig! We love, love, LOVE him and his staff!
Christin N. replied:
Dr. Escobosa at bayside pediatrics! He is kind, absolutely adores Buel (and my nephews who were my reason for going there), they have Saturday hours, extended evening hours, and on call nurses to speak with if you just have a question. plus he holds Buel and gushes over him. He's very thorough and takes the time to explain things. They are located right off riva road.
Christin N. replied:
Also - the rest of the staff are lovely too. Dr. Nold is amazing, as are the other providers there. I believe Polly Dunkley takes her bebes there too. As does Sarah Johnson.
Kiaundria H. replied:
Bayside Pediatrics is the best!
Erin B. replied:
Love bayside pediatrics. Dr. Escabosa is like a real life cartoon character, but gentile and awesome and encouraging. He was the first to see bri bri in the hospital. Dr. Pomerlau is sweet and gentle and loving. Dr. Nold is funny and thorough and he is who we see for well visits. We never wait because appts aren't overbooked, and they leave open space for emergency sick visits. The nurses are nice and the office runs efficiently. We have loved it since day one my advice is to interview your tops choices and trust your new mommy/daddy intuition. ALWAYS trust that.
Does anyone here use Annapolis Primary Care? Any thoughts good or bad on the practice? Looking for adult care not pediatricians. Thanks!
Bob H. replied:
Maryland Primary care next to Magohty middle school. Dr. Ashbach.

I am in love with my doctor at APC ... her name is Dr. Patricia Jett. What a love about her is beside dealing with whatever issues you have health wise, she's a good listener and does not rush willy-nilly to write prescriptions. I've sent others to her and they are quite pleased with Dr. Jett. (she is the Annapolis office off Rte. 450 near the Italian Market.
Susan J. replied:
We use Annapolis primary care, Dr. Canan is awesome. He takes time with us and asks questions, like an old school physician! Highly recommend him.
