It's so funny that you ask that! I literally just got off the phone with Dr. Foster's nurse about that. I've had recurring cysts for 6 years now. Sometimes as big as a softball. At first I saw Dr. Damrich and wasn't impressed. He didn't want to ever check on them or seem to care that they were hurting me. Then I switched to Dr. Foster. He's VERY proactive. I've had tons of ultrasounds to check on them. His nurse always calls back quickly. He knows what he's talking about. We'll most likely be doing laparoscopic surgery to remove them in the next few weeks. He's done surgery on my mother and sister and it went great. Can't say enough good things about him.

I like Brookwood regardless who got sick there. You can get sick at ANY hospital. Look at the big mess going on at UAB now. But there are wonderful doc there, I am sure! I am choosing a doc at Brookwood no matter what. You can get an infection at any hospital. I am sorry it happened to people you know. So please no negative comments about Brookwood. Brookwood advantages for OB: -Private NICU rooms w 24/7 ability to be with your baby (I never planned on needing this and hardly anyone does) -Separate labor nurses and postpartum nurses (allows the nurses to be more specialized and usually better care) -Best lactation department in town, by far Advantages to OBGYN South: -there are 4 Doctors and they don't take call w anyone else you can meet them all so you don't have a stranger delivering your baby, some of the other docs take call with people you will never meet until delivery day -They are a Christian practice. My Dr prayed w me several times during labor - This practice has some of the lowest CSection rates in town -Dr Ross is my Dr, I love Adcock also.

OB-GYN South has a great group of caring Christian doctors. I personally think Dr. McKenzie is the best but you can't go wrong with any of them.

If your baby is sick call them and they will get you in with one of their drs. They have 2 offices one is across from the PlayStation in Trussville and the other is on Deerfoot Pkwy. I love OBGYN of Alabama. The main office is in st. Vincent, but they have an office at the 119 center. Acton Road Pediatric is who we use for they kids, we love all 4 doctors. Birmingham Internal Medicine also at the 119 center is who we use for our general doctor. We moved to this same area 6 years ago, I know how over whelming it is. The UAB Women and Infants center is FAR from being run down, where my dr. is and where I had my first. I was forced into 2 cesareans by Dr Taylor and dropped as a patient at 32 weeks by Dr Blair for refusing another... Dr Taylor said I was "too opinionated" about my own body/birth. I only used them because of Medicaid. i went without prenatal care for a month at the end of my pregnancy because they think they are allowed to dictate what a woman can and can't do with her body.. i know too many women that have had unnecessary cesareans there for ridiculous reasons. Dr Johannson is hands down THE best OB around, but last I knew, Medicaid wont allow anyone to use him.

She's indeed the best Obgyn I had! I went to Eastern Womens during my first pregnancy and saw everyone in their group. I liked Blair and Dey at that office. Even when I was with their office Dr Taylor delivered my first child. Then for my subsequent pregnancy I immediately chose Dr Taylor for my prenatal care. She's wonderful!

Dr. Dey ended up delivering my son, she's awesome too! So Dr Taylor or Dr Dey are my recommendations!!

Purohoit Pesiatrics in Moody. We just seen then for the first time Thursday and he held my daughter the whole time he was in the room. He even played with her before looking and he told her everything he was doing even though she is only four months old. And she never cried like she did when we wenr to her other doctor

Tots and teen for your baby Dr Barron and Dr Foster for you. Dr Foster is in St Vincents in birmingham I'm not sure where tots and teens are they have moved since my daughter was little and using them but you can't go wrong with either they are wonderful.
