Anyone ever had to deal with an arrogant ortho surgeon?
Aaron B. replied:
Our first surgeon had a horrible bed side manner and was too rough with our son. He also did not give us options and just said what he thought was the best option and did not discuss other options with us. Turns out we got a second opinion and his first option was what we chose but it could have gone another way. We switched to a new surgeon and ended up after an infection having to get a new prosthesis put in. The new surgeon, Dr. Morris at Johns Hopkins, is marvelous. She is so easy to work with and has none of the typical surgeon attitude.
Jodi M. replied:
I laugh....when I first encountered my surgeon he scared me a little. He's one of the top at Mayo Clinic. You could tell he also really intimidated all of his staff....now he's one of my Facebook friends and I adore him.
Theresa B. replied:
My son's ortho was really good. I liked him quite a bit. He was blunt and straight-talking, but not unkind and he clearly liked my son. He I would totally recommend Dr. Wodajo.
Angela K. replied:
Jason Evans keep on doing what you know as a parent is best for your daughter. Physicians put their pants on the same way as you do and at the end of the day nobody knows your child's needs better than you and mama. Prayers!
Robyn I. replied:
Jason Evans..care for our children should always be done with compassion for the children and the parents. Afterall we are the champions for our children. You have the absolute right to be informed about whats going on with your child in a timely manner. You have the absolute right to know and to make the ultimate decision if your child is to be sedated. Im sorry but i dont give a f#%€ who someone is if anyone who is in a position of power over my childs life throws a tantrum and threatens not to do life saving surgery on a child FOR ANY REASON!! They break the Hippocratic oath and should be reported. Im so sorry your going through that..
Bad news. I have a mass in my abdomen and will be having surgery. Does anybody have recommendations for a GI surgeon or surgical oncologist?
