[McLaughlin Family Dentists](http://mclaughlindentists.com/) were great for me. I had a lot of work to do, similar situation as yours, and they worked with me on payments and stuff. The work they did is great as well. I now go three times a year for cleanings and use a high-fluoride toothpaste they recommended, and I haven't had a cavity in over a year. Seems like no big for a normal person, but for me it's amazing.

I wouldn't mind a specific recommendation for wisdom tooth extraction.

YES. Dr Lawrence Phan - prosthodontist in Coolige corner Mark Nussembaum -- Oral surgeon in chestnut hill They do Impeccable work And work together to make sure you are fully operational through out. You are welcome to email if you have questions. You can also call Dr Phan's office and ask to speak to Margie. She is a saint and can share more about the work they do. Dr Phan taught at Harvard and has very high standards. I have had a lot of dental work and this is not an area where you want student or general dentists doing the work.

I've been to Tufts Dental and they seem to do a decent job.

http://www.bjornsonfamilydental.com/ By far the nicest dentist and staff I have experienced, everyone seems to genuinely enjoy their work, and they go out of their way to make patients comfortable. Also, there is a sweet yellow lab roaming the office and waiting room as an added bonus!

There is a brace that can be worn depending on the severity of the tear. I'm assuming it's the ACL, and we used Dr. Henry at Dedham veterinary assoc. They were wonderful and about $3 k. Look into the financial assistance of the recommendations on this feed. Good luck!

Any recommendations for surgeons in or around Boston, MA area?

My surgeon was Dr. Terri Halperin. I love her. She and her staff were great. I'm on mobile now but as soon as i get to my computer I'll post a link to her site. Edit: Here is the site: http://drterrihalperin.com/ She is so nice and very experienced. Her staff is extremely supportive and friendly. Good luck with everything! Keep us posted.

I'm going with Dr Samuel Lin. His work looks great but his attitude is pretty hands off/typical busy doctor. My surgery is next week, so I'll probably post an update then! Here are some others I looked at: Richard Bartlett Jeffrey Darrow Terri Halperin Yoon Chun If my insurance didn't roll over on March 1st, I probably would have shopped around some more as Dr Lin seems a bit understaffed and he's hard to get in touch with. Some negative reviews on RealSelf made me nervous about Dr Halperin; turns out Dr Darrow doesn't take my insurance, even though his work looked amazing; Dr Chun has nothing but *glowing* reviews but the consultation would have been $150 and I couldn't afford that at the time; Dr Bartlett's done a *million* reductions, but the before/after photos didn't really do anything for me. Edit: If you have access to a car there are supposed to be some awesome ones in Wellesley and Stoneham! I'm limited to Uber in this weather, so these are all more Boston proper.
bostongirl25 replied:
Dr. Christopher Davidson out of Wellesley - he is AMAZING! Not only did I use him, but I know two others who used him for relative surgeries. One was a total breast reconstruction due to breast cancer & double mastectomy and the other patient was breast implants, while I was breast reduction. All three of us rave about him. Would be happy to provide info to you. He works out of Newton-Wellesley Hospital where I also had a great experience.
I'm sure this may not be the most appropriate place to ask this question but I am sort of stuck! Has anyone on here had a total hip replacement in their 30's or younger...
David H. replied:
Dr Steven Murphy NE Baptist Hospital. Google him. I've had both done Best around
David H. replied:
You don't call the Baptist. You find a Doctor affiliated. Murphy's office is in it but there are many doctors who are affiliated. http://www.stephenmurphy.org Long meadow orthopedic are excellent as well.

Dr Dublar will give you great advice my aunt is in her 50 s and she needs a hip replacement but he is trying dif methods that have helped w pain like shots Eventually u have to replace the hips so they like to wait as long as Possible Good luck
Brittany A. replied:
I had a labral tear repair 2 years ago up at Lahey clinic and had a revision done back in May by Dr. Langwowrthy in Dartmouth butbi was still having severe pain so the doctor sent me for an MRI. He told me I needed the replacement but wouldn't do it. He offered to do an exploratory surgery and try to clean it up but he said he can't guarantee it would help.
David H. replied:
Call Dr Murphy. The life expectancy is generally over 20 years depending on lifestyle. It's all about quality of life now. You'll do more damage taking pain meds and suffering than having the hip replaced. Technology is so advanced now. I could've gone home same day but chose to stay overnight. In a few years it will be a same day surgery. Recovery is fast. I was playing golf in 7 weeks.

Dave H. replied:
Dave, Dr. Desio at St. V's is supposed to be the best dr for shoulder surgery. He works on Professional Athletes. I went for an MRI for my shoulder and am planning on going to him because he came highly recommended
Debbie M. replied:
What happened? Dad went to Dr. Rocket and the operation was a success.

Call me later this morning. I have the best of the best for you. Dr. Alan Curtis.
Anthony K. replied:
Dr. Diane English at St. Elizabeth's. She's awesome.
Nicole D. replied:
I'll second Dr. English. She deals with most surgeries for BC athletes. I had my elbow done by Dr. Luke Oh out of MGH. He's the orthopedic surgeon for the sox. Specializes in elbows, not sure about shoulders
