Anyone here in the boston area? I am looking for a good allergist in the area (with all the good medical we have here) I am new to the area so I am not sure who to go to...

We saw Dr. Moody first. A bit abrupt/gruff, but overall I liked him. He was straightforward with me about everything. We switched to Karol Timmons, but that's because the youngest is in the atopic dermatitis clinic now (super sever eczema) and she's the allergist for the clinic. She agreed to also take on the older kiddo. I really love her. Unfortunately, she's out on medical leave now, so we ended up seeing Dr. Platt last month. I liked him, but we will go back to Karol once possible. No issues with him, I just like that I can see her at the Weymouth office, which is more convenient for us, and that they would both be seeing the same doctor. I can't remember who all people warned me away from other than one had her son seen by Dr. Lee (who is the head is the head of the food allergy program I think) and she really disliked him. I have never met him, so I have no clue. We love the staff in the office. Office staff and nurses are super nice. It's in the same space as dermatology and so with the younger one, there was a period of like 9 months to a year that we had been going in every week or two. They knew us as soon as we walked in. It had been a few months since our last visit when we went in last month and they still recognized us and were so excited to see how much my younger one had improved. Do you know about the food allergy day at Franklin Park Zoo that they are sponsoring? It's on 9/13. I think there is still space to register for free tickets.

Try this link(https://www.facebook.com/BCHAllergy?ref=ts&fref=ts), it should go to the food allergy program page and if you scroll down you can find the info.

We go to Boston Children's also and love it. My son used to see Dr. Umetsu who was great but he left last year. We started seeing Dr. Baxi but have only had 2 appts. with him. He is very pleasant to deal with and seems very thorough.
Can anyone here recommend a good allergist in the Newton/Boston area? Thank you!!
