Anyone know if the PCA has a summer camp in the southeast?
Rick K. replied:
Hey, we are taking our 20+ Urban kids to Camp Grace. It is very much like KAA (Kids Across America) which is in Missouri but so much closer and cheaper! The camp is in Roberta GA. Here is their website: http://visionatlanta.org/camp-grace and the camp Director is Lucas Farmer: 404-989-2204.
Amy M. replied:
Mary Westminster has a great program for youth rachel's age and she could get a great summer job as a councilor
Jim W. replied:
If you're still looking/considering options, the PCA does have a conference center and camp venue in western North Carolina, as well: Ridge Haven. Their website is here: http://www.ridgehaven.org/

I'm looking for accommodations in Brevard for about 60 people at a time. Does anyone know of cabins or camps you would recomend for this summer?
Debra A. replied:
Check out "A Stone's Throw" on Face Book. Sleeps 6 with a huge fenced in yard in Rosman. Also on vrbo.com.
Tad F. replied:
Contact Prentiss Brewer at the Brevard-Transylvania Chamber of Commerce. She can give you a variety of suggested places that can accommodate your needs.
Prentiss B. replied:
The Adventure Village is a good suggestion. 19 cabins plus RV and tent sites. Other than that, hotels are your only option in the county during the summer. Etowah Valley Country Club has rooms at very reasonable rates as well.
Headed to find our old camp today! So excited for my trip down memory lane! Anyone have any advice for finding the girls camp?
Stephanie M. replied:
I never attended camp there, but it's my understanding that the area around the current rangers' office is where you want to be. You have two options for hiking in. First, you can park at High Falls Access and walk down Buck Forest Rd then turn right on Conservation Rd, then left on Lake Julia Rd. Your other option is to drive down Reasonover Rd to the Fawn Lake Access area, park there and hike down Conservation Rd then turn right onto Camp Summit Rd. If you don't have a map, you can check out the map kiosks at the parking areas and ask a ranger if you see one. Good luck and have fun!
