Unfortunately you have to shop around. Meat prices (as all food) has gotten out of hand. We have been having good luck at thriftway lately. Also try some lesser known good cuts such as the chuck-eye (poor mans ribeye), even chuck shoulder (make a marinade on "lesser" cuts) came out spectacular, $8 for 3 nice thick ones at Safeway. Ended up like a filet mignon when cooked correctly. Here is the marinade I use for any cut lesser quality than chuckeye http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/176770/the-best-steak-marinade/
