Vanessa I am an infant toddler family specialist. I work with children ages birth to three. I would suggest you call the autism society of North Carolina. They have a local office in charlotte. They have many local resources. In addition visit their website. They offer advocacy, training and education and direct care. Hope this helps. 704-894-9678autismsociety-nc.org

We used Carolina Parenting Solutions. They came our house many years ago. They only treat children up to age 8, or at least that was the cut off when we were a client. The therapist was amazing and Carrie, the owner was very accessible and did a great job matching our needs to a therapist.

Can anyone recommend a therapist/counselor? Specifically looking for someone to talk to about grief and loss.
DanifC replied:
Hey friend, I don't have a recommendation for you unfortunately, but I just wanted to say I hope you find a counselor that works for you and that things get easier for you soon.

Often the best results with grieving come from support groups. Not sure if you're comfortable with those, but here's a list if you're interested https://www.griefshare.org/countries/us/states/nc/cities/charlotte
melinesthes replied:
Search the name of your health insurance provider (if you have it) and the words "therapist" and "Charlotte." From there you can narrow down your search by proximity if necessary and then you just have to read therapists' profiles to find one that specializes in grief or bereavement and set up a consultation. I'm seeking therapy for a separate issue myself right now and this is what I have done, so I hope this helps. Know that you are not alone and if you just need someone to talk to I can't promise a super speedy reply but message me on here by all means. Best of luck to you and I'm sorry for your loss

I have not been to see her myself yet, but I have heard very good things about [Robin Fine](http://camvalley.com/Therapist/Therapist/Robin_Fine.html) at Cameron Valley. Grief and loss are among her specialty areas.
