I don't have any recommendations but I'm glad you're starting your search early. When I did need daycare, the good ones had about a 4 month waiting list. It really doesn't make it easy. Good luck.

Here's the [state site](http://ncchildcaresearch.dhhs.state.nc.us/) - you can search for 4 star and 5 star locations (permit type) to find the best accredited day cares. The rates are going to vary widely, but in general the best centers in town will charge around $300 / week for an infant/toddler. I was at the Sunshine House on Little Rd (a 4-star center at the time) and they gave a 10% discount to CHS employees. I think it was around $220 / week for our son when he was a baby. We upgraded to a better school and now it's $240 / week for regular pre-school.
