Can anyone recommend a good allergist in this area? One that will actually spend more than 5 minutes with talking to me? Thanks!

Good luck Angie..the allergist we loved retired. We haven't found one yet that I really, really like. Dr. Kalliel in Manchester is pretty good. I felt he did take the time with us and Ben. We recently went into MGH - they were very thorough but we were definitely a number. If you find one, let me know.

I like Dr. Sarian at Lahey Clinic. My son sees him.
Anyone have a pediatric allergist that is really excellent? My son gets a severe allergy to bug bites and after a weekend in Maine, I'm afraid he'll never want to go...

Allergy West is fantastic. And they treat adults as well, so my whole family goes there. They're so patient with my 4-year-olds getting allergy shots.

Dr Frank Twarog in Concord is the BEST. Google him. Very impressive. My 2 little grandsons go to him. I know at least a dozen children that were under his care over years. He is the best!!!
Donna R. replied:
The 12 year old boy that I watch has been going to Dr. Twarog since he was 6 months old. There is nothing bad that could be said about him or his staff......
Aimee S. replied:
It is a bit of a drive but Dr Brown at ent consultants in woburn. He is AMAZING. His own kids have allergies and he speaks to me as a parent which for me makes a huge difference
Looking for recommendations for a good Allergist in the area. Hopefully being knowledgable with oral allergy syndrome.
Nicole G. replied:
My initial comment to this went funky so I'm trying again! My daughter's allergist is Dr Twarog in Concord. He is a professor at Harvard and Childrens. A frequent awardee of Boston Magazine's Top Doctors. He was recommended to me by my doctor as someone who thinks outside the box. As my daughter had symptoms dismissed by a Chelmsford allergist as eczema (which I absolutely knew it wasn't), Dr Twarog immediately recognising and testing for an allergy to cold was a welcome relief. So if you need someone like that I can recommend him - his bedside manner is a bit dry - but he absolutely knows his stuff.
Douglas P. replied:
Dr. Twarog does know his stuff, but like you said, not the best bedside manner. My wife used to go to him. She now goes to John Saryan at Lahey Burlington. Great doctor with a great bedside manner. Also on the top doctors list. His nurse, Julie, is excellent as well. It does take a while to get an appointment though.
Diane H. replied:
Dr. Twarog is fabulous. My grandsons, daughter and several other people I know over the years all went to him and he was great.
Looking for recommendations (yes, again) for an allergist in Chelmsford or nearby. Thanks in advance
Sabrina Y. replied:
I am not sure where you have been but Dr. Mehra at Allergy and Asthma in Chelmsford is amazing!
Lori O. replied:
Allergy West. Dr Narayan

I went to Allergy & Asthma specialist for a puzzling and very ambiguous reaction to a substance. Dr Melamed was willing investigate the ingredients of things I'd reacted to and also sat with me and observe the reaction as it unfolded and then resolved. So appreciated his detective work and also his practicality with my (then toddler) son's food allergies..
