Shari, see my reply in your post above. Lori Corda offers classes, and she is a terrific instructor. Oops! I thought I was still on the other page! I need a vacation! Or a yoga class! This is what I wrote on the 828 page: I've taken Yoga classes on and off for years in NY and here, and Lori is one of the best, most giving teachers I've studied with. She pays attention to each student's needs and makes adjustments so that the student is aligned properly. And, as is the case with me at this time in life, she is able to offer modifications to poses that result in the same benefits as the originals. Her studio is in a beautiful, peaceful location. You are truly away from it all when you're there. I hope you give her classes a try.

I teach at both Grow Yoga and Goyoga. Both studios have wonderful beginner classes. Grow Yoga has a beginner "series". Check out Abby on Tues. Or, drop in with Holly Monday nights. Goyoga has a class called Fundamental Flow. Michelle B teaches a great class Sun morning. Check them both out! Hope to see you around the studios.

I have been actively using the yoga at Clark Hall/the Y for almost a year and LOVE IT. Sam L. and Sarah whom teach the power flow classes are great. A feel awesome after their classes. If you have the availability I would also recommend the mat Pilates class there with Tracey. It's on Mondays @ noon.

If you want sauna AND steam room, then [YMCA Downtown](https://www.clevelandymca.org/parker-hannifin-downtown.html). Otherwise, with just sauna, I would recommend [CSU Rec center](http://www.csuohio.edu/recreationcenter/recreationcenter) or [LA Fitness](https://www.lafitness.com/pages/clubhome.aspx?clubid=1131).

In my experience it's best to find something close to home. It's a lot easier to not lose motivation when it's just a short drive/walk to the gym.
YSKthatIDK replied:
[Gahanna YMCA](http://www.ymcacolumbus.org/gahanna) is a good option.
newbie614 replied:
Check your health insurance. Some plans give you a membership that allows you to go to a wide variety of gyms for a monthly fee that is usually lower than joining the gym directly.
Bassdropper_ replied:
Not sure the quality of the Gahanna YMCA, but you can never go wrong with the Y. I go to the one in Grove City (and Urbancreast). Im a big fan of spending about 30 minutes in the sauna at the very end of my workout week...relieves a lot of stress and will have you feeling like a new person.
betona replied:
Curious why it's 'ideally not planet fitness'? I got a card in the mail today offering $10/month and wondered what the real underlying story was.
_deliriumtrigger replied:
My girlfriend and I go to the LA Fitness in Gahanna/New Albany. They have various classes, one of which I'm sure is Yoga. Overall, it's a solid gym. If you working across town or anything like the both of us do, get the universal access to all LA gyms so you can go to whichever one is closest to you when you get off of work.
shnus replied:
Since you're asking for a very general gym, this is where Google would be a good source.
