Any recommendations for a preschool with a 2 year program? I'm looking for something that's about 4 hours per week. Thanks!

We have been with Dr. Gronberg for 14 years with detailed care. Dr. Larkner is our backup. I actually find Dr. Buthod to size up to your description of Gronberg on here Kara. To each his own, they only way to find out is to make the appt and shake hands with them yourself.
Laura B. replied:
Friendship House Preschool is great!
Allyson S. replied:
Dr. Gronberg caught a very serious issue with my daughter that was hereditary, so all of my kids ended up having it. Due to his early intervention my kids suffered no complications. Dr. Buthod also caught a potentially deadly issue with my oldest because she is so thorough. Love them both!

I am adding another recommendation for Dr Altschuler, he's phenominal. I had him as a kid. As for my daughter, she saw Dr Knapik out of Centegra in Huntley, and I loved her too.

Kelly L. replied:
Dr. Karna at Mercy McHenry is my favorite physician ever. She takes time to answe questions, never talks down to you and is great with little ones. Yet my almost 16 year old son was horrified that eventually he'll have to go to a regular dr. He said, quote, "but I want to go to Dr. Karna forever!"
Bonnie T. replied:
Also love children's medical group!! Dr Tjaden and Dr O'Brien are awesome!! This year will be my daughters first year of preschool. We are going to Learning Tree Preschool on Woodstock St.

Reasonable priced preschool programs in the area? How is the park district program? PM me if you'd rather not comment here. We'd prefer a non religious program.

Lacie D. replied:
My son goes because he needs speech/occupational/physical therapy services and has an IEP. But they do have spaces available for kids who do not have an IEP and just want to attend the preschool program. It's a wonderful program and they have bussing available, which is nice. It's located at Glacier Ridge. http://d47.org/ec/index.php/parents/parent-announcements/36-abc-countdown

Looking for a preschool
FREE - Crystal Lake, IL
Does anyone know of a school in crystal lake that offers free preschool? New to the area and I heard you don’t have to...
Nina L. replied:
Wehde Early Childhood Center is a preschool that works on early intervention. It is part of district 47 and operates in the same building as Glacier Ridge Elementary. It is free, but you would call and ask for your child to be tested if you have any concerns about your child. If the testing ends up with your child being offered services, then the preschool is free. They also have bussing I think.
