I have a friend who struggles with depression and is looking for a good therapist. Does anyone have a good recommendation? Thanks!
Cynthia A. replied:
I have been so disappointed with the handful of counselors I've tried in Cumming. I used to see someone I thought was immensely wise but he's out of state. He's just such a deep, intuitive thinker that I think he'd be worth seeking out unless there is a drug abuse issue, which I think someone else can handle better. I wonder if your friend would be open to being counselled remotely? If I needed help again, I'd ask Gregg Hires of http://bethelridge.org/. He was unshakable.

I’m looking for recommendations for a therapist that accepts BCBS. Preferably nearby. Thanks in advance.
Susan W. replied:
Not trying to get too nosy, but therapist is a very generic term for what can be a highly specialized field. I can recommend Amanda Reedinger at Beacon Counseling LLC in Cumming for adolescent behavior therapy (including anxiety & depression) but I'm not sure they'll have the therapist that will meet your needs, whatever they may be. Good luck!!

Physical Therapy can work wonders after the nervous system is properly communicating and there are no major barriers to healing. I would suggest making sure that you handle any potential sensitivities or toxicities first.
