Bad experience with All Stars. We were required to get xrays because they were covered by insurance. He wouldn't even look in my son's mouth to see if xrays were medically necessary. Dr. John acted like a spoiled toddler. Never went back, obviously in it for the $$.

I second Dr Jason Bonjiovi. I left another well known dental office fed up with my kids having lots of cavities. I went there to get a second opinion. Turns out it wasn't a cavity but a dentist taking my money and causing my kids lots of stress. He is very conservative. He's a good person and has values.

All Star Dentistry off Keith Bridge in the Publix's shopping. Dr John is amazing. Our 6 year old needed to have a cavity filled and he had no idea it was happening. He left and told all his friends he had the sugar bugs removed and could not wait to have more so he can go back

I am following this post as well bc I'm looking for a pediatric dentist too. Now I looked up Dr John and on their website they hv no contract with any dental insurance.. Has that been an issue for anyone with dental insurance?

Advanced Dental - love them and they're among the lowest pricing I found when I called around a year or so ago. Kimberly McCullough Mathews is our hygienist and shes great with kids!

I second Dental Town! I self pay also. I just took my two oldest daughters there for cleanings. They did the cleanings AND fluoride and my total was $300 for both. I think the cleanings, by themselves, were only $120 but not positive.

My experience with Dr. john (all star dentistry): If your insurance covers x-rays, then you are required to get them. (My older kids had NO dental x-rays until they got braces in middle school) I'm okay if medically necessary but Dr John refused to even look in my son's mouth without an x-ray. He acted like a bully and I left feeling he only cared about the $$$. We go to Dr Ann Ullah, it is a family dentistry and my son has had excellent experiences.

Melissa we love North Georgia Pediatric Dentistry but I don't really know about the self pay aspect. They pulled two teeth from my most dramatic child and she didn't shed a single tear

My husband and I went to Gainesville College dental program this week for cleaning. $55 each. First consult is $20. Can't beat $75 and they were very thorough and extremely nice. Worth checking out.
