Doctors in Daytona Beach, FL

I had my hip done by Mark Gillespy with Daytona Orthopedic. They have several doctors specializing in different things. The staff was all wonderful so I would think the rest of the doctors are as well. They also have their own physical therapy department so the communication works well. If you have your choice of hospitals the ortho unit at Halifax was awesome!! I was very reluctant when Dr Gillespy said he preferred to do it there because of past bad experiences. The rest of the hospital could learn a lot from that one unit. Good luck to you:)

Dr Silas on Mason did my knee surgery and is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I’ve ever had the honor of meeting.

Dr. Hawthorne in Port Orange did my knee and my Wife's hip. I've seen some butcher jods while doing physical therapy. I have to look hard to find My scars.

Dr. James Bryan did my daughter's ACL. He is in Gillespie group. I think Daytona Orthopedics. He usually does sports related injuries but there are several very good Dr.s in that group.

Atlantic orthopedic. Dr R Rhodes. He did my knee and hip. He is awesome

I would highly recommend Dr Kenneth Hawthorne. My mom.just had knee surgery.

I went to Dr. Northrup in St. Augustine for a full robotic replacement. The hospital is Flagler and is awesome. I had a hip replacement at Halifax & never have I cared for Memorial. The best to you! It's a tough thing to get through but so glad it's done.

My husband had a knee replacement done by Dr. Kenneth Hawthorne. Excellent results and an excellent doctor.

Don't go to Gregory White NSB. Had left knee done over 3 months ago. No bedside manners and dealing with a bad Infection. Doesn't want to see me.

Avoid the Gillespie group on Mason Ave. Run...run...run away as fast as you can. I have personally seen some of their work. NOT! I have close friends who are local nurses and shudder at the thought of that medical group. Been there and walked out.

Dr. Hawthorne in Ormond Beach. He did 2 knee replacements on my husband about 5 years ago and he has never had any problems. He doesn't have much of a personality but he's an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Williamson on Reed Canal and Clyde Morris did my full reconstructive knee surgery and did an amazing job

Jan Rhodes, MD, did mine. I chose him because he is highly thought of by physical therapists and others who work with his patients at Halifax Hospital. I have been delighted with the results.

Doctor Hawthorne in Ormond. He is the best. He does a lot of sports injuries of great athletes.

Have very many had Dr Seltzer. He did my moms many yrs ago and was excellent. Any nurses out there have any opinions or pts? I know he is lot older now but was excellent. I used to work in hospital around him yrs ago.

Dr Corey Rosenbaum of Flagler Orthopedics he is awesome. I went to Daytona orthopaedic and they took hardware out of my leg that was not supposed to be removed and ended up causing more problems. I was referred to Dr Rosenbaum and he has been unbelievable.

Dr James Bryan saved my knee back in 2005 when I was told I would never play professional basketball again. I not only played again, but haven't had problems since. You won't go wrong with him

Depending on what part of that zip code you live in, you are either with the Halifax Health Tax District and would go to Azalea (most likely), or in the Southeast Hospital District and would go to the clinic at Florida Hospital in New Smyrna. Both are FQHC's, Federally Qualified Health Centers. I would start with Azalea. Melissa Dieffenbach posted about it. You can call them at (386) 323-9600

Dr. Kathryn Malan. She is in New Symrna but well worth it. I had the same issue in finding a doctor I like. I went to one who wouldn't listen and just pawned off my concerns. I went to Dr Malan and she took the time to listen, examine, explain options and provide treatment. I love the fact she desires your input. Amazing bedside manner and an awesome office staff. I would be lost if she ever stopped practicing.
