We drive our son to Free Horizon Montessori in Golden. I'm so happy with this school, I can't say enough about the program there. It's a Jefferson charter, preschool through 8 th grade. After kindergarten the school is free.

I'm a little biased as my wife Shea owns it, but I'm VERY proud of what she has created. Inspiration Preschool is at 20 th & Wads. They are currently on a wait list though. There is no opening at this time. http://www.inspirationpreschool.com/

We have a space that just opened up at Colorado Christian Montessori - we have reviews on our website coloradomontessori.com And for anyone who's interested it's the best of both worlds combining the excellence of the Montessori method with Christ centered curriculum. Or give us a call at 303/942/8014 for more information.

Check out www.qualistar.org to find out what to look for in high quality early childhood programs. You can also see what schools in your area have participated in the quality rating system. There is a family component included in the ratings for schools (families are surveyed). I encourage people to research schools to be sure they meet each family and child's needs. Quality is important in preparing your child for kindergarten.

I'll also mention Inspiration. Our daughter loved it there and it's just a great community for the entire family. She is at Compass Montessori in Golden now and once we made it through the transition she really enjoys it. Its a Jeffco charter school, so you'd need to start the paperwork soon.

Thanks Patricia via Chip Deale, lol. Care.com is what everyone tells me. I just can't do a total stranger. Needs to come from someone I know. (I watch too much Law & Order) So, John Thiel, pm on its way!
On a personal note can anyone recommend a preschool in the Denver area? I am sure a lot of mamas are looking for this information ;)
