I need some help finding a pediatrician for our new little guy coming in April. I don't know where to start but I have to let my doctor know my choice by 36 weeks (only...

Kidzdocs: Pediatric Associates in Central Ohio is where we take our three. We have had great experiences there - have been very supportive of us through a variety of experiences with our kiddos. Very knowledgeable, very good with the kids! And I love that when they are sick you can get right in with someone!

Dr. Tyler Rogers at Rainbow pediatrics is amazing! He always listens to my concerns and gives me great advice! There is a triage nurse line you can call during the day to ask any questions and then after hours they give you a number to call any time! They call you to schedule appointments if you forget and send reminder phone calls for scheduled appointments. I feel like he genuinely cares about my child. Happy hunting!

I've hard good things about Dr. Mahoney, but we just switched to Step by Step Pediatrics (Dr. McClellan). I've heard good things about all of the docs there, but we're so so happy with McClellan. We switched from Mid Ohio Pediatrics because we were so unhappy there.

I go to American Health Networks in Centerburgh. Dr Lee Hornstein is the Dr, but I see his nurse practitioner, Timberlee Medeker. but sure on all the spellings, but I love her. We have been going there since Michael was a baby because the old nurse practitioner was a family friend but moved away, but we stayed there because we really liked it. They are great about getting us in quickly when needed and a smaller practice too. Also not a bad drive for us. Timberlee is a new mom and is very sweet and I feel like she always gives me the answers I need and makes me feel comfortable. Good Luck!

We use Westerville Pediatric Specialists. They have an office at St. Ann's and one in Sunbury, right behind Tim Hortons. We see Dr. Michelle Yaw almost exclusively. She's very loving with the boys and has always been very honest and pull-no-punches with us, which we appreciate. We never feel rushed, and she's always really good about anticipating our concerns or questions. The Sunbury office is never, ever crowded, although the hours there are not as flexible as at the main location. There are I think 3 other doctors in the practice and a couple of NPs, who we've seen occasionally -- but we have been so very happy with Dr. Yaw.
Jennifer R. replied:
Step by Step in Westerville is awesome! Dr McClellan is Luca's doctor! He is great. Rylan sees Dr. Niland and she is awesome too!

Riversedge pediatrics is great! Specifically Dr. Michelle Mahoney. She is great and only 20 mins from Sunbury. We've been with her since 08 and her nurses are all awesome. Especially Teresa. My girls are very comfortable with them both. Good luck with your search!

i second Ashley. Oliver sees Dr Rogers in new Albany as well. Good people and good facility.

We loooooove ours!!! Matt & Kristy referred us when Jadyn was born! We couldn't be happier with him...Dr. McClellan with COPC - Step by Step Pediatrics! Good luck:)

You might ask Daryn Violet Ackley. We had Dr. Maher as kids & her little girl goes to her now. Not sure of her location information.

Dr Daniel Heinmiller at Gahanna pediatrics is one of the wonderful men in world. I would HIGHLY recommend him!!!

...more on Sunbury pediatrics, like someone said earlier about Dr Yaw she's amazing, she tells it like it is and will straight up talk to your kiddo like they are a human being and not a baby. I liked that no-nonsense approach. Having kids at GRE and living where we do, there have been times when I get the dreaded "sick" call and have been lucky enough to be able to get fit in to that days schedule. When Dylan had to have his appendix out Dr Yaw was the first stop before she recommended we make our way to Children's. She called ahead, spoke to the ER and the doctor on call there that day and they were prepared for us! She called us later that night and again the next morning to send her well wishes and support. All the other drs and np at SP are amazing and just as caring. I feel so blessed to have her and the practice right at the end of our street! I've recommended the practice to a couple of girlfriends and they love her too! Good luck!

Linn, we worked with Dr Joseph for a long while. He is a good pain doctor, but he made a remark about a general population that I found quite offensive and I removed my children from his care. This had nothing to do with his skills as a DR only with his skills as a human being. We have a wonderful integrative pediatric specialist that we are working with, but now that we have a firm diagnosis I am trying to get my ducks in a row. I will contact Dr Tinkle and ask him about Cincy. Thank you.

I don't know how much detail he knows about PoTS cos he could confirm that neither me or my brother have it, but my brother's cardio is knowledgeable about connective tissue disorders, very Marfan aware and understands that EDS can have many secondary complications like PoTS.
