DADsquared Fan Question:
Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in Palm Beach Florida?
Thanks,
Paul
Wendy G. replied:
We go to Lee Edelstein Pediatrics in Lake Worth (Lantana & Jog). Small practice but so personable and great staff. 561-357-8993. We used to go to Ped Assoc until a few incidents really annoyed me (at the Boynton location).

For those in Durham, any recommendations on a good pediatrician?
Elizabeth H. replied:
Love Drs Braithwaite and Merritt at Chapel Hill Peds CH location.
Betsy S. replied:
CH peds. We've seen Kathy Merritt for 17 years and we love her. I might also go to Dr Morton if I had a boy. It's a big practice but we've had very good experiences with them.
Tequilla D. replied:
Definitely Chapel Hill Peds. Love Dr. Merritt ever since our AKOM connection. But I did switch to the Durham location for convenience and equally love Dr. Joe!

I highly recommend Richmond pediatrics, they're located on pole green road in the newer medical office across from food lion. All of the doctors and staff there are phenomenal. My daughter sees Dr. Gosselin
Donna T. replied:
Dr. Stephanie Leary of Pediatric Associates of Richmond is great. She is a mom of 2 preschoolers and is very good. Never have to wait long for well or sick visits.

Sandi C. replied:
I took my son to Lee Davis Pediatrics. They were great helping me get his formula figured out (milk & soy free, & had to add rice cereal to bottles to make it thick enough for him to keep down), getting his acid reflux under control, treating his tons of ear infections, referring him immediately to peds neurology when he started having seizures, & took me seriously when he started having developmental delays. Now he's a happy healthy 5 year old.
IS anyone out there that had Dr.Roberts as their pediatrician in the 50s
on Chapel Hill st.
Gwyn D. replied:
Dr. London and Dr. Watson.
Susan S. replied:
Dr. McBride and Webb.
Kenneth H. replied:
Hi Miss Pollard.
Kenneth H. replied:
He scarred me to death as a child, but he was a saint. I was born weighing less than 5 pounds. They wanted to keep me in the hospital but Mom didn't want to leave me. She had 5 other children at home and needed to be there too. So I went home and Dr. Roberts came our house every day for a month to make sure I was okay.
Gwyn D. replied:
My mother worked for Dr. London and Watson, she told me that Dr. London would have her not bill people he knew could not afford to pay. He was a great doctor.
Anne S. replied:
I remember Dr. Roberts. I was born in 1942. I remember when he gave me a shot in the butt, he asked me if I wanted chocolate or vanilla. He came to our house in West Durham when I had pneumonia. I was 6 yrs old at the time, loved that Dr.
Sandra H. replied:
Dr. Roberts was also my Dr. At 75 I still remember what his waiting room looked like, where his office was located and how scared I was to go to any Dr. He was all ways very kind. Made house calls, one time gave me shots on both sides of my rear due to asthma.
Glenda W. replied:
Gwyn, cannot agree more about Dr. Arthur London, Sr. I went to him til I went off to college. He was a wonderful man. Went to him during the time his nurses were Ms. Bennett and Ms. Crutchfield.
Glenda W. replied:
Gwyn, the one key thing about Ms. Bennett - when she came walking down the hall, you knew you were going to get a shot. Dr. London would 'slap' the place on your arm so while it was still stinging a little, he would give you the shot. The only location we went to was the building on N. Gregson.
Gwyn D. replied:
Toddle House was across the street from Sawyer and Moore. It is still there and still a food establishment (do not remember the name). Dr. London and Watson old office on Main Street turned into the College Shop years ago. The building is still there but not sure what is in there now.
Glenda W. replied:
I sure do remember the College Shop. They sold all the madras shirtwaist dresses, blouses, etc. Too high priced back in the day; they were in business there for along time. I think my memory just kicked in re the donut place next to Sawyer and Moore's parking lot. I sure hated to see the state of the McPherson building when I went home for my DHS class reunion two years ago..
I know I asked a couple months ago. But I can't seem to find the info. I'm 36 and 5 days pregnant. And I am looking for a good trusted pediatrician for our baby girl...

I have heard you can't really go wrong here. We go to ABC Peds (Dr. Polver) and loooove her/them. I have heard many physicians take their own kids there which I take as a really good sign.

ABC Peds is great!!! If you're in the south end of town!!! We love all the doctors there.
Anyone in the durham/chapel hill area have any good recommendations for a pediatrician?
Kathryn B. replied:
We go to Durham Peds too. We see Dr. Ferrari who Greta at one point dubbed Dr. Owie (because of speech development not because of owies but still funny).
Andrew O. replied:
Sorry, hit the return button too quickly. We really like Durham Pediatrics up on Duke St. Dr. Douglas Clark is G's main pediatrician (quite literally from day 1), but we haven't met a pediatrician at that office that wasn't friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and really engaged. G's "boyfriend" A (you know him) also goes there.
Jennifer K. replied:
When we lived in Durham, we also went to Durham Peds on Duke Street and liked most of the doctors we met there.
Katie R. replied:
We love Chapel Hill Pediatrics and they have an office in Durham and one in CH. Dr. Hall and Dr. Dunk are two of our favorites.
Jean M. replied:
I love love love Chapel Hill pediatrics. Dr. Morton is amazing, but might not be taking new patients.

Marci L. replied:
Chapel Hill Pediatrics. They have 2 offices. The first one is across from church. 205 Sage Road. The second one is on 54.
Leslie B. replied:
We go to Regional Peds behind Lowes in Durham. Dr Wang is very flexible. Others, not so much.
Pamela B. replied:
I also go to Regional Peds. I delayed one vaccine and skipped one (rotovirus). They were fine with it. I did have solid scientific reasons with peer-reviewed papers, but I didn't get more than sincere questions. They have also been cool with other modifications to their suggestions. However, no MD is going to recommend essential oils instead of drugs because those are untested. But they have been glad to let me try them out if I like.
