Jessica, have you contacted the school system? In writing (e-mail counts or you can drop off a letter to the Preschool Evaluation Center in Smithfield or even at your local elementary/base school) request an evaluation for Special Education services. From the day you send or deliver the request, the district has 90 days to complete the process to the determination of eligibility and the creation of an IEP. In the letter, indicate the areas where you have concern.
I use Dr. Milowic at Raleigh Neurology. It is about a 6 month waiting list to get in to see her though.

OT is very hard to get in the home. It depends on the area that you live in. Two very good OTs in clinic are Shining Stars in Fuquay and Cindy Outman at Pediatric Therapy Associates in Garner. If your child is 3 years old, than you can request an evaluation through Johnston County Schools. Children ages 3 + can be serviced through their local school system.

We go to Dr John Georgitis. He is awesome. Works or of Holly Springs, Sanford, and Dunn weekly. Nor sure in his availability but with a shot (pun). http://www.lafayetteclinic.com/.../fayetteville-office.asp
Amanda M. replied:
Dr Georgitis offers S.L.I.T. in place of shots. Sub-lingual Immunotherapy. It's not covered by insurance and costs about $50/mo... You just put 3 drops under his tongue 1 x/day at home. No shots, no weekly Dr visits, and works well for us! Happy to answer any questions you need.

Can Dr Bowman or his office try to get you in sooner if he's that bad maybe they can help.

Blue Ridge Pediatrics - Dr. Louis Allen in particular. Great guy, great with children. If he's still working when I have children, they'll go to him. It's in Raleigh, adjacent to Rex Hospital.
