Can someone please tell me from personal experience where I can take my 12 year old daughter to see a good neurologist? It can be local or surrounding counties but I've...

Dr. Transmonte in Macon. The best one out there around here. Dr. Holly Hoenes in Forsyth. Copying these two from above. I think Dr Holly Hoenes works for the same group as Dr Transmonte. Forsyth is convenient. Took my grandson there. He had an MRI thru her at Children's Health Care in Macon.

Children's healthcare of Atlanta Neurologists group is the best. My daughter had migraines for over a month straight. ER visits, test, her pediatric dr. No one could give us answers was referred to the children's neurologists across from Scottish rite which is now egelston atl children's healthcare. Doctors were great we went from the office to hospital for 5 days of I've steroids for Optic Neuritis. Both of hers was inflamed. A cat scan will not find it. You can also take her to have her eyes checked by an eye dr that has the machines to check her optic nerve. She is now 19 and we still have to have her checked for her optic nerve. Clayton eye center is great also. After neurologist. Sorry for such long post. It just Erks me how so many people may not know about this.

Dr. Transmonte in Macon. We tried several others, including one at Emory, and he was the only one who made any sense and made us feel at ease.

My daughter is 6 and goes to Dr Holly Hoenes in Forsyth. She is great with children. My daughter is very picky in who she opens up to. The first visit, my daughter enjoyed speaking to her. She told her exactly where her headache starts first. Dr Hoenes checked her iron that day and scheduled testing. My daughter has been taking 1/2 a pill a day for 8 months now. She went from headaches everyday to maybe 1 every 3 months. We love Dr Holly Hoenes!

Dr. Holly Hoenes is no longer with Dr. Transmonte of Children's healthcare of macon. She is with Primary Pediatrics in the walmart plaza in Forsyth Ga. She is a Pediatric Neurologist and is great! Has been treating my daughter for 3 years.

Melissa C. replied:
Sherkina I sent you a pm, does anyone have the # for Holly Hoenes (location she's at now) I've googled for hours and only get Dr Trasmontes number. Thanks for all the help.
Sherkina S. replied:
Melissa Nicole Chambley I sent it to your inbox....but here it is again...1-478-994-6868. Be sure to let the receptionist know, you need to schedule with Dr. Hoenes (pronounced Hay nest). Good luck! We love her. She diagnoised my kid with Migraines after the pediatrician gave me the run around. She treats my child for epilepsy and is a great, kid friendly specialist. We've seen a few and she in my opinion is top of the line. The one mentioned across from the hospital is not "kid friendly", and I wasn't pleased with the care or lack there of.
Recommendations for a good neurologist. Other than Dr.Pandey.

Madison, I was referred to Dr. Pandey last year, as well. One visit there and I'm now with Dr. Ranadive. I'll leave it at that. I'm discovering the hell that is migraines, too. I hate to hear you have them. I wish you well.
