I recently used Avid Handyman in Hoboken for a few repairs. They were great and extremely professional. Service people in general seem to be mostly crooks but these guys were fair and did a great job. avidhandyman.com

Having done it myself I can tell you, save money and watch a few YouTube videos. It’s relatively easy work for a beginner. Unfortunately I don’t have any contractor recommendations for you. You’d need a handyman for a job if that size.
