My father in law. Ames Lawn & Landscape, has the honor of being the first landscaping company in Huntsville since '82 I believe. Anyway, he's a sweet guy and does a great job. Used to have 8-10 employees with their trucks driving around until his knees slowed down a bit so now it's just him. He recently redid the yard for a couple of the big houses at the top of Williams Ave downtown. I can give you his details if you'd like.

We went through 4 different services before finding one we liked. We are with Owen's Lawn Care (256-489-1956) now and absolutely love them. They do good work for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend giving them a call.

So /u/omega_ix9 recommended Jasper with Excel Lawncare to me and I've been using him about 4 weeks on my rental house. Omega is pleased and so far, I've been as well although I'm not there to see first hand. He texts to let you know that you're on the rotation for the day and then he sends you a bill via paypal (if you don't pay him on the spot) for payment. Paypal is a $2 fee to basically cover his financial cost of dealing with paypal. It's $35 for about .3 - .4 of an acre off Oakwood. Edit to add: He's very businesslike and is wanting to make a solid go of what he's doing. I like him.
