Lawyer recommendation for tenant issue Can anyone recommend a lawyer that works with tenant issues (preferably free consultation)? Thanks in advance

Here is the Alabama Tenants Handbook. If you go down to page 18 it has listings of all the places to get legal help. I used to work with the Red Cross. This is what we gave fire victims if their landlords tried to be a-holes. https://www.alabamalegalhelp.org/files/A2447EEE-F644-D86C-0EED-38CCDA102137/attachments/D58BD7A6-D99A-93CB-F1B6-D0BF0AE6B7B3/352521AlabamaTenantsHandbook122006.pdf

You being an Uber might have something to do with the insurance company not paying you money...seriously, I was thinking about becoming one and I read somewhere that most insurances won’t cover damages received or given by Uber drivers

Not sure if you’re a student but I’d go talk to Robert Cochran. I’m taking him for Business Law right now. I have no doubt he’d be able to point you in the right direction. If you need his email PM me and I’ll shoot it on over to you

Not a student sorry (parent), but most schools have a student legal aid society - check that out first as they may be able to help you (and for free). But, if it is under $2K small claims court works great. Good luck.

I would recommend J. Tutt Barrett with Dean & Barrett. He has been in Auburn for a very long time, he knows pretty much everyone in the legal system in that area and has a great reputation, and who you know is very important in a legal system like Auburn's. He also specializes in several legal areas including Insurance Law.

Cross post this in r/legaladvice. They may have some good suggestions about what kind of lawyer, and they'll be more familiar with the uber terms and conditions.

You should also consider the issue of Diminished Value. Your car is worth less now than it was before, simply because it now has a history of being wrecked.
