Optometry is the only area in which I can help. We love Dr. Shawna Heintz at Walmart in Gladstone. Obviously I don't know personally how she is with children but she is soooo kind and always smiling, very personable and tries to address any concerns you have. Most of the rest of the staff is great also. They have some new people, but the ones who have been there awhile always remember our names.

Take him to see Dr. Doug at eye care associates in lees summit. He is extraordinary with kids. And their office is very kid friendly. I couldn't say nicer things about them. Also, they have emergency services. Something that you don't get with lens crafters or Walmart type places.

Go to Dr. Doug. He is very gentle and doesn't push kids to do more than they are comfortable with
Friends, I'm needing a recommendation for a pediatric optometrist (eyes) . Nicky had an eye exam at school and they suggest another opinion.
Nicole C. replied:
Hannah Fancher GREAT idea on CHM. What is difference of that speciality? Have never heard of it.
Talitha M. replied:
Dr Hemphill of Olathe family vision....he screens for vision therapy needs too, which are very frequently overlooked and can cause a lot of problems. Ryley was found to have double vision at 13 years old and that struggle had gone entirely unnoticed through every other regular eye exam she had had up until then.
Michelle D. replied:
Vision Therapist as well as Optom. Dr. Curtis Myers.
