Dr. Buxton is at Free State Dermatology at corner of Clinton Parkway & Kasold. I am good friends with his nurse Dana and his office manager Alyssa. They are great.
Sara H. replied:
Dr Kyle Anderson! New guy. Super nice. The other two guys in town left much to be desired in my book.
Dermatologists? Hello again everyone. You've all pointed out some pretty great places for me, and now I'm in need yet again.
Does anyone know of a cheap/affordable...
bracush replied:
I have been to Freestate Dermatology a few times and the Dr there is good. I have no idea about their prices as I have insurance. I would think the Dr's in town are all about the same price for an office visit. If you are looking for an affordable option you may want to call this health clinic. http://heartlandhealth.org/our-story-mission/

Dr Buxton has been my go to. He's gotten me squared away with a lot of my skin problems.
wagnerwheel replied:
I go to dr. Anderson and my insurance barely pays but it was $70. Not bad since he gave me a 3 month prescription that is only $4 and is working. I'm not sure if others though. If you call and ask they should be able to tell you what it is straight out of pocket if you don't have insurance
midwestlovefest replied:
Anderson is nice, but that's about it. The three times I came in for a visit, I was in the waiting room for 20-30 minutes, then in the office for less than 5. This is not an exaggeration. I have horrible hives that just wreck my skin. He was literally no help at all. But sure enough each visit was $120!
patryn150 replied:
My copay is 40. That will vary depending on your coverage since they are a specialist.

If you meet income guidelines and don't have insurance, you can go to Health Care Access. You will likely have to wait a while, but they can likely set you up with a dermatologist. If you don't meet the income guidelines or you have insurance, just start calling around. Ask how much a regular office visit is. I go to Dr. Buxton. I don't know how much he costs because I have insurance and my cost has to do with my insurance plan.

Lori N. replied:
KMC Derm except very long wait times unless you book early morning or right after lunch and only with Matt the P.A. or Lindsey Delmont. you will never get to see the doc. and be prepared for selling you into alot of products and packages. I really liked Buxton between the two offices and he is local.
Looking for a recommendation of a Lawrence-area dermatologist to check out a small rash on both forearms. I contracted it last August during the Lake Creek Camp Meeting....
