I think it's time I stop seeing my pediatrician. Any suggestions on female doctors in lawrence?
Kira M. replied:
Dr Kimuri at Lawrence Family Medicine and Obstetrics. It's by LGA off Wakarusa.
Kelsey R. replied:
Heather Yates P.A. (she was my pediatrician & I liked her so much I followed her to her new office) OR Miranda Fowler M.D., both at Lawrence Family Practice, which is off 18 th & Wakarusa (near LGA)!
Dayna K. replied:
Dr. Evans is good, she at Mt. Oread off of Kasold and 23 rd. I see a doc in that office too.
Sandi H. replied:
I am surprised that they will still see you! Dr. Malati Harris is Great!

Hello All!...
Laura M. replied:
Dr. Harris is in Lawrence, but totally worth the drive. She is fantastic.
Alba B. replied:
I go to Dr. Josie Norris for the whole family and I like the way she works with the kids.
Juliet S. replied:
Alba, yes! Melanie is Matt's older sister. Liz, I thought there might be some folks who knew Matt and family. Thanks so much, everyone'
Chris K. replied:
I take my toddler to Pediatric Associates and love Dr. Cooley but I was thinking of maybe switching it up when I have my 2 nd baby next month because I was interested in a more AP friendly physician. Was wanting a Dr. Sears-esque pediatrician and didn't know if there were any around. I was going to ask the ladies at the Breastfeeding Clinic when I'm in the hospital next.
Meghann B. replied:
Looove Dr. Gibson, so far. Family practice doc.
Brooke E. replied:
Dr. Van Sickle is wonderful, but I have reservations about the practice in general (Pediatric Associates) that I'm happy to discuss with you privately. I've heard very positive things about Dr. Neuhofel in Lawrence and am considering moving my daughter to his practice. Www.neucare.net

Fiona H. replied:
Medical Associates do not pierce ears.
Elizabeth B. replied:
Piercing Pagoda in the mall has 2 shops there and they will have someone come from other shop in mall so they can do both ears at the same time for babies
Can anyone recommend a pediatrician in Lawrence that supports the alternative vaccine schedule. My wife and I are looking for a supportive pediatrician.
Maggie H. replied:
Dr Stephanie Suber is mine and is open to informed choice! She's great!
Una S. replied:
Dr. Kirsten Evans has been good to me and my kids. Just had me sign a waiver, and done. Dr. Neu is a family doctor, and supportive.
Sam M. replied:
Second Dr. Evans. She is pretty much amazing. She will tell you which ones she thinks are the most important and why. But she will never pressure you.
Laura L. replied:
Yes!!! Dr Evans
Shannon R. replied:
Hi Zac - I am new to the community but I am opening an acupuncture clinic - and while I am not a pediatrician I do treat kids often for common conditions. So I wanted to introduce myself as a comrade in using natural medicine rather than drugs and vaccines for keeping kids healthy!! I will also be hosting a Full Moon Kids Clinic once a month to do immune boostings wellness treatments....these treatments are wonderful, kids love them, and parents notice when they do the full moon treatments every month, their kids just hardly get sick!!
It's still a bit early before the baby gets here, but i am looking for a Pediatrician, so anyone has a good Pediatrician they can recommend?
Kelli S. replied:
Allison Hettinger at Preferred Pediatrics in Overland Park. I can't say more wonderful things about her care adn her bedside manner. She's fantastic and worth the 20 minute drive (which is what it would take to get to most doctors on Wakarusa form our house).
Amanda D. replied:
We see Dr Kirsten Evans at Lawrence Pediatrics and we love her!
Emily L. replied:
Dr. Marshall Kelley with Pediatrics and Adolescents - he's my step dad:) A little biased but I know how passionate and devoted he his to his patients!

Kelly W. replied:
I love Dr Beth Rundquist. She is great. She saved my daughter's life when she was a baby. She is the best with little kids. She knows how to treat them and have fun with them so she can do what she needs with traumatizing them. She is such a sweet lady and knows the fears of a mother.
Timberlyn W. replied:
I agree with Kelly. I really like Dr Rrundquist. She is great. She takes her time with each patient and is usually running behind because of that. My only complaint is that you have to wait for her sometimes up to 30-45 mins, but she is worth it. If you like a doctor to be on schedule she is not the one for you.
