Emily is right, nothing to do with Obama care. Medicare was at fault here and thankfully it is all straightened out now. Doc's office just called and we now have our appointment back. Emily Rich, I have called Tim's office already and he is one of the ones NOT taking new Medicare patients and I just think that stinks.

I always go to Rapid Med in Highland Village. Same co pay w/ insurance as going to the Dr. You can check in online and they will call you when its time for you to come in.

Rapid Med has excellent doctors.

Minute clinic in CVS. It is your regular copay or if you don't have a copay they will bill you after insurance has paid. And your prescriptions get filled right away.

Old Town Family Practice in Coppell!

I've been having the same problem with highland family medical I went to Dr Shepherd on Tuesday very nice staff took really good care of my son

DO NOT GO TO Long Prairie Family Medicine or you will experience the same thing as you already do. I love the doctor and my hubby and I have been patients of his for over 16 years. I'm all about the relationship. Unfortunately there is a definite decline in customer relations and patient care ever since he became part of a network. Their office opens at 8:30. You call 8:31 and are told there are no appointments available.

Tried Dr Shepherd in Lewisville and was not impressed for reasons I will keep to myself. Been going to Dr Trisha Smith with baylor family medical at highland village and have been impressed with availability and treatment. There is also an cardiologist in the office.

I go to Lifetime Family Medicine, Dr. Pravong. Have been going there about 10 years and have yet to wait for an appointment. Most of the time when I call I can in within an hour or two. She's excellent, very thorough and believes in follow-up.

Care Now in Denton has always worked really well for us! Especially with the online check in, you hardly spend any time in the waiting room!

I don't think anyone can give you a referral that guarantees you'll get in same day. This is why there are so many clinics. A private practice is always going to be harder to get into. I love Care Now because I have never had to wait. I use the call feature.

I go to Dr Simmons - if I can't see him they always find a way for me to see his PA.

We use 18 and under MD there in Flower Mound. Dr. Calandro is our doc, but all of them are great.
