Can anyone recommend a great endocrinologist in the area (or even if you travel to other cities in the metro) that has great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable on...
Jessica G. replied:
Dr David Feinstein(214) 964-0888 my neighbor used him for her thyroid issue which ended up being cancer!
Kay H. replied:
Joseph Milburn in Irving - totally worth the drive. He could not be more different than Dr. Haque - he is awesome!
Kelly A. replied:
It is funny how many negative things I have seen over the years about Dr. Haque's bedside manner. He really is a very good doctor, but I just can't stomach being handled that way. You think it would get back to him and he would take it to heart.
Brenda G. replied:
Dr Carolyn Garner did my thyroid cancer, gall bladder and appendix...not only is she easy to talk to but will remember you on the street. I go to Dr Haque for my diabetes he has no bedside manners but a very smart dr got me off of insulin and controlled by diet. It has taken 5 years to get my numbers on my thyroid but I have many other health issues to so not all his issues....I will agree that his staff needs help and he has had a big change over
Jim S. replied:
Dr. Shelby Holt UTSW
Kelly A. replied:
Dr. Haq in Denton. Absolutely love her and her staff. Very kind and compassionate and actually listens to me and doesn't rush me through my appt. I was not a fan of Dr. Haque in Flower Mound, but that is just my opinion. She handles my diabetes and thyroid. http://www.mcnt.com/bios/dr._seema_haq.php
Kerri R. replied:
YES! Dr. Carolyn Garner. I'm about to have her do my surgery soon. She's great, very personable, funny, and a true professional. I'll post her # hang on
Kerri R. replied:
Ok Dr. Carolyn Garner : 940-380-8040
Linda V. replied:
I saw Dr. Haque in Flower Mound for my Cushings and he knew what he was doing. Not the most pleasant dude but he is good!

The Dr. I went to before her was Dr. Wasim Haque in Flower Mound. I am not a fan of his practice
Looking for a new doctor. I have hypothyroidism and I would like either an endocrinologist or internist, but want one that won't rely on just the normal tsh testing. ...
Susan S. replied:
We use Dr. Mitchell Sorsby in Plano, don't know if you want to drive that far. We really like him
Brenda K. replied:
For great information I would join the Hypothyroid Mom FB group. I see an Endo who plays the numbers game. So frustrated. I have HYpoParathyroidism. I have to research everything. I ordered a text book that we'll be released next month. We have to be our advocate. There is a doctor downtown Dallas. I don't want to drive down there but he's suppose to be really good.
Jennifer L. replied:
Hypothyroid Ladies is also another by good FB group.
Charlie F. replied:
Dr Olivier. Only Dr to figure out the right dosage and all surrounding my wife's Hypothyroidism. She's in Flower Mound Dr Monica Olivier
Laura C. replied:
Not a Dr and not in Lewisville, but Dallas. I recently went to a medical nutritionist who is extremely knowledgeable about thyroid. She recently helped the food editor for D magazine and that's how I found out about her. Her name is Susan Linke http://www.susanlinke.com
Yami F. replied:
Dr. Olivier is great.. I had gone through many doctors, all of them endocrinologists and they just couldn't find the right treatment for my hypothyroidism. She did a thorough analysis and has been the only able to stabilize it. She's on 2499.. here's her info and you can tel her I sent you: 4001 Long Prairie Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028 (214) 222-4800
Looking for endocrinology recommendations in Lewisville/FM area other than Dr. Wasim Haque!!! His office staff is horrible!!!!!!!
Kelly A. replied:
Dr. Haq (woman) in Denton is wonderful. I tried Dr. Haque in Lewisville too and really disliked him and his staff.
Kimberly K. replied:
I know you are looking for recommendations but steer clear of Dr. Obialo in Carrollton...horrible experience with office staff and doctor.
Emilee E. replied:

Kay H. replied:
I feel exactly the same way. Someone on here told me of a GREAT doctor in Irving. Trust me it is worth the drive. Dr Joseph Milburn(469) 800-1150
Rachelle P. replied:
We just switched to Dr. Haq in Denton. So far, so good. I concur that Haque and his staff are awful, impossible to ignore when you have to deal with them regarding insurance. And he knows. Surprised he is still in practice.
Linda F. replied:
Dr. Hague is horrible ! No bedside manners he needs to get his act together has tons of horrible reviews.
Marcia G. replied:
We go to Dr. Raj in Carrolton. North Dallas Endocrinology. Also had Haque. Horrible experience. Dr. Moryan criticized our previous treatment plan. Didn't like that nor felt comfortable with him. Definitely Dr Ramona Raj!!
Sharon H. replied:
I didn't care for Dr Haque either. My opthomalogist recommended Anwar Moryan in Denton TX. Checked with my insurance and he received very good reviews, will be going to him. He is Endocrinologist, internal medicine, approx 60 yrs old.
anyone know of a GOOD endocrinologist here in Lewisville or Flower Mound??? need one asap!
Genna P. replied:
Dr. Haque he's really good.
Kelly A. replied:
I hated Haque. Dr. Raj in Carrollton is great though. She is just off of Hebron & Josey by the hospital.
Linda F. replied:
Dr Gaddam in Denton NOT DR. Haque!!!!
Gwen S. replied:
I am looking at Dr. Raj in Carrollton or Dr Welch in Plano
Wendy H. replied:
Gwen Simpson Yay! D Magazine listed Dr. Haque as a Best of the Best for 2013 along with Dr. Emilia Popa Dr. Steve Fordan Dr. Alvin Huang Dr. Jonathan Leffert Dr. Mark Leshin Dr. Samuel Marynick Dr. Audrey Miklius Dr. Olak Mohan Dr. Phillip Raskin Dr. Richard Sachson Dr. Heidi Shea Dr. Mitchell Sorsby Dr. Raphaelle Vallera Dr. Brian J. Welch ******** Same Dr. Welch you mentioned? http://directory.dmagazine.com/doctors?category=Endocrinology&ps=45
Brenda K. replied:
I have seen Dr. Haque since 2009 for thyroid cancer. He is good for what he does. His bedside manner needs a little help but other than that he's good. He has a PA in the office that I also see. Try him. If you are not happy you can find another one.
Wendy H. replied:
Rachelle, I'm so sorry that has been your experience. It is always difficult to find a good fit in endocrinology since it is such a highly-personalized treatment plan that requires trial/error. My experience with Dr. Haque has been the exact opposite of yours. I receive short but personal calls from Dr. Haque to discuss any lab or radiology test results. He's actually taken me OFF of medications through the years to where I only take one thyroid medication following a TT for ThyCa. At office visits he has always taken sufficient time to discuss my needs. He is very detailed, quiet, thorough and an introvert. This combination of personality traits does not make for the most "best friend" sort of bedside manner until he gets to know you however, it does make for an excellent doctor to truly analyze and assess numbers and data to come up with a solution. His office staff have been amazing and over the last several months I've required many copies of labs and reports which they have had often within minutes of me calling. The only downside to this practice in my book is that regardless of the time of day I make appointments there is typically a 20-30 minute wait until I have my appointment. However, for a specialist this is not unreasonable; I simply don't like to wait.
Laura V. replied:
No Dr. Haque!!!
Brenda K. replied:
I don't have any issues with Dr. Haque with scheduling or spending Tim with me. They answer all of my questions. Blood work is done there a week before your appointment. He has never pushed medications on me.
Wendy H. replied:
Dr. Wasim Haque.
Cristy L. replied:
Dr. Haque saved my mothers life pretty much.
Brenda K. replied:
I wish it was more separated. An Endo who only deals with thyroid issues. Wish Dr. Haque had more sympathy of the issues we can encounter with the thyroid cancer. I have no active parathyroid so sometimes when my calcium runs low it puts you into a lot of muscle pain which makes it hard to breathe.
Jennifer C. replied:
The only one I know of is on Kirkpatrick . There is a guy in Irving that does more natural hormone compounding, Micheal Sullivan at Tienna Health .if you want to go more natural, Naturopath, Dr Shawn, Whole Body Healing, across from city hall
Linda V. replied:
Dr. Haque diagnosed me with Cushings (fairly rare disease) in 2009 after five years of seeing other doctors who just gave water pills. His bedside manner is short but he's an awesome endocrinologist. I would go back to him in a heartbeat.
Can someone recommend an Endocrinologist? Someone who is an expert with Diabetes Management.
Thank you!
Kerri R. replied:
Yes. I'm having surgery done by Dr. Carolyn Garner in Denton on Wednesday. She's awesome and you'll love her. Don't go to Dr. Wasim Haque in Flower Mound. Whole office except for their lady who takes blood is messed up. Not professional and really made me feel like a number, not a person.
Dr Haqua(Pronounced like Huck) I will warn no bedside manner, will tell you how it is, front office staff has been slowly replaced some say they are horrible I never had trouble but he has been able to get my diabetes under control off meds and I now can control. dR Garner recommended as I had thyroid cancer at same time
Kerri R. replied:
Ya, I live in Lewisville too but I feel like Dr. Garner is worth the 15 minute drive. She's in the professional buildings attached to the hospital off State School Rd exit. Not far
Kerri R. replied:
Dr. Haque actually mumbled what my results were when telling me. He actually sat in a chair facing the wall looking down....not looking at my face to tell me my nodules they biopsied were BENIGN. Who does that? It's good news and it should be something great to tell a patient. Again....really felt cold and like a number, not a person.
Looking for recommendations for an endocrinologist or internal med doctor that specializes in diabetes. TIA!!!!
Tami E. replied:
I use Dr Tondapu at MCN &T
Linda V. replied:
Dr. Hague was behind the post office but now on Kirkpatrick in Flower Mound. He was awesome with me. He can be short and curt but he damn well knows his stuff!
Tami E. replied:
My experience with Dr Haque was not good either. I was happy when I found Dr Tondapu.
Kelly A. replied:
Debbie, no the doctor Haq in Denton is a woman and is REALLY nice and very qualified in my opinion. I like her a lot. No relation to Dr. Haque in Flower Mound.
