Some guy came to my door last week and said he'd take down my dead palm tree for $20 if he could have the tree. I said sure, because I don't have a pressing need for a dead palm tree. He cut it down and had it on his truck in about 15 minutes. I have no idea who he was or how to reach him but he says he drives around looking for dead trees. Big guy, very nice, looked like Strother Martin in Cool Hand Luke. He did a great job and the price was certainly right.

Don't use Miller and Sons in Riverview. I had two trees that needed removal last week. I needed fast because one was against a neighbors house. They were fast but did not do what they said with a tree that fell over, causing me more work. They also seemed expensive to me.

If a Tree removal company is inexpensive, then they are NOT carrying enough insurance to cover any potential problems or injuries. Use a reputable firm and be safe. Otherwise your Home Owners insurance might take a big hit, or you may be sued.
